Thank you, Susan. I’ve come to respect you for your warmth and compassion. These examples today only further that. Penguins and Bunnies ARE important. We need to look to the future.
But seriously, Booman Tribune does have a good feel to it – you’ve done well with the front page contributors, Boo, and there is a more personal feel to the site compared to a certain other well-known site…
During days of frantic living it’s nice to come in and continue ongoing conversations day to day. Sure we’ll grow and diaries will start looking like waterfalls as they slide off…but for now – ahhhhhhhh!
Here’s a cool glass of wine to you and all us guppies hanging out here!
Came across this snippet of poetry by Robert Duncan that is so apropos to today I have to post it (even though it doesn’t really belong on this thread):
“the hell of America’s unacknowledged, unrepented crimes that I saw in Goldwater’s eyes
now shines from the eyes of the President
in the swollen head of the nation.”
I just read a diary over at Kos that would interest you…it’s an update about Yucca Mt. in Nev. It is written by Alysheba….check it out..major cover up stuff.
My daughter’s on a campaign to save the show — she wants people to write to FOX:

The best comedy on television only has a
few episodes left in its second season.
So we’re taking advantage of this last
chance to introduce more people to the
show before summer by launching a
grassroots campaign at http://www.getarrested.com.
Head over there now to pledge your love for
the show and find out how you can still bring
this extraordinary series to friends and family
who haven’t seen it yet!
Now’s your chance to throw your two cents in!
Email us here at FOX with your favorite reasons
for watching. We’d love to hear what you think
of the show!
Thanks for creating such a fun and wonderful place, Boo. The world scope is the best … well, maybe the best part is the group you’ve attracted.
make pastor nervous, talk to him through the telvision unless he’s wearing tinfoil and reading booman…[walks away muttering]

Ah, what a week!
Thanks, booman, for a nice little cottage of a blog, where I can come and relax.
There are SOME blogs where it has become sort of like a 2,500 student high school, complete with cliques of Soc’s, and Jocks, and Hippies, and Nerds.
But this is a Love Shack!
now where have I heard that before…?

Well done, all.
Love the sandy beaches of the frog pond Booman!

Amen to that! I couldn’t have said it better.
Make mine a tall, cold glass of coke and a bag of doritos, with a side of black jellybeans.
Susan, thank you for posting this, and Booman, thank you for hosting us.
I see skies of blue, and clouds of white,
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night,
And I say to myself, “What a wonderful site!”
Precious. Thank you 🙂 That song always rips me up.
No my dear, thank you! You’ve put so much of yourself into the success of this site, and I thank you for that.
I’m just waiting for you to post your bio on MM’s diary (unless you’ve already done so, and I haven’t been paying attention).
Good night!
Are any of you fans of “Arrested Development”? If so, send me an e-mail.

How often in life, can find a place that has:
the warm feeling of grandma’s house on Sunday
the comfort of your easy chair
the familiar sound of friends
the smell of fresh coffee
your favorite music
your ideals, values
your hopes, dreams
your spirit
Once, in a lifetime, if your lucky,
Many thanks to all who made this possible.
I tip my hat, with a humble bow.
For it truly is hospice for the weakened soul.
