No wonder the NYT editors gave pause
I accidentally deleted this earlier today … didn’t realize it until I got back from a shopping trip with my daughter, and noticed that Janet Strange was asking about the story! Here it is.
and I hope it gets moved to the diaries later, because I think his article is outstanding and that BooFolks should read it. It brings up a lot of points about “citizen journalism” – its potential, its problems, etc. that tie in to what a lot of here see as one of the greatest problems with our political world – the failure of the corporate media to fill the need for informing citizens. Without which no democracy can survive.
I asked BooMan what happened to the story because I think it is so important – and I was hoping that it would inspire some discussion. However, next week is finals week in my world, so I’m going to be spending the evening writing exams. I’ll try to check back in later.
