When Cochran delivers a dire prognosis, the entire camp stands vigil. Swearengen enlists Star and Adams to help improvise a con on the newly returned Commissioner Jarry. Andy Cramed, former Deadwood pariah, offers himself as the camp’s new minister. With Martha regretting her move to Deadwood, Bullock searches his imagination for encouraging words at a critical time. Trixie pressures Alma to accept Ellsworth’s proposal. Sunday at 9pm ET/PT.
Anything you want to talk about…
The machinations are getting interesting.
That’s a new combo, eh?
I have my diary ready, Boo…. it’s in a holding pattern. I’ll post it around 6PM.
I’ve got extra Kleenex on hand. This one’s going to be sad. And I’m very worried about some serious violence tonight.
Darcy (my daughter) says: NO MORE TAR AND FEATHERING! She has had enough. Carnivale showed it in a gruesome way. Then Deadwood showed it a couple episodes back.
Note about tarring and feathering. I’d heard the phrase — used rather lightly and often — countless times. But I really had no idea what it was until I heard Jimmy Carter describe it on the Diane Rehm show. Carter wrote a historical novel, and said he described the torture in detail in his novel.
I just don’t to watch when they feed that poor russian to the hogs.
That guy is doomed. Red-shirt star trek doomed.
The diary is up. See you all in an hour.

Darcy and I did the Mother’s Day thing with my mother yesterday, and this morning. Darcy gave me lovely gifts…. even though she knows I’m anti such holidays.
Then Darcy went to visit her friend at the home of her friend’s relatives. Darcy loves to go to this place … it’s a eco-friendly cabin on Hood Canal that has been featured on the Travel channel and in The Seattle Times.
If you go to the Seattle Times page, you’ll see all the photographs. Stunning!
It’s got a compost toilet, an ice chest instead of a refrigerator, and more…. and only one tree was sacrificed in the construction.
That house is amazing! Love the Wedgewood stove and copper counters…and I would love to be able to just go 500 feet to drop my boat into the water!
They kayak to get coffee 🙂
It looks like a gorgeous place to kayak. Oh, I’m jonesing for another trip to Seattle…it’s been more than 6 months since the last one!
Guess I’ll have to settle for a lunchtime paddle in my local lake this week.
USWeb remakes the art of the Shill into the art of the Shull
It looks like the folks at USWeb.com, a leading Internet marketing firm, have taken the idea of shilling one step further and could very well be in violation of the Federal Trade Commission Act.
While searching the online postings at CraigsList, I came across an interesting post which read, “Get paid for blogging…..We will pay you to post to your blog. We pay $5 via Paypal per blog posting.
