AMWAY- Damn (glad) I missed this opportunity. Did any of you get suckered into the AMWAY pyramid scheme?
Bush + Republicans + Amway = Fraud
As a life long conservative, Scheibeler was discouraged to both discover and document that “the GOP seems to have been hijacked by political payoffs from an industry that is rife with consumer deception, and bogus ‘business opportunity’ selling.” He goes on to say that it’s “time this secret influence peddling and the harm it causes consumers and our democracy are revealed. I was on the inside for nine years. I saw it with my own eyes. I also have the internal documents, financials, and the audio and video tapes to prove it.”
I remember several times in the 80s being drawn by a ‘blind’ employment ad to attend a ‘great chance to increase my income’ meeting, only to find out at the end of an hour or so it was to sell AMWAY products.
One of my brother’s got into it for a couple of years and I swear my mom still has AMWAY products in her basement as she ended up being my brother’s main customer- not because the products were any good, but to help out my brother.
After about 3 lures over the years into these meetings, I usually got brave and asked early on if this was for AMWAY or some vacuum cleaner and then would walk out after telling the moderator that they should let us know what they are selling instead of wasting our time. Others would then walk out with me.
But had I known selling AMWAY would have connected me with some Right Wing Winners…well..
I guess I missed my opportunity-Thank Goodness.

I always have had good instincts in the ‘work place’ regarding corruption or trouble and knew this AMWAY thing was not something I wanted to get involved with. I remember telling my brother that he couldn’t win with this-he had a garage full of the products-Never did ask how much money he spent but he wised up eventually.
Anybody here ex-AMWAY suckers?
