As mentioned in my previous diary of earlier today, I received an e-mail from a so-called Brian Harring. You may or may not recognize the name, but he is the “author” of the well-debunked story out of tbrnews.org concerning 9000 dead GI’s.

I removed mine and his e-mail addresses from above.
Initially, I didn’t know what to make of it. I immediately thought to myself that, as with the Voice from the White House, that
Walter Storch=Peter Stahl=Gregory Douglas=Brian Harring.
But then I searched the e-mail address of the person who sent me the e-mail and came to discover that he is a Linux developer, 23 years old, from Madison, Wisconsin. He used to be an IT student assistant in the Genetics department at the University of Wisconsin and I did find a picture of him.
Just in case this young guy IS innocent in all of this, I’m not going to post links to all of the information on him I have uncovered, nor will I post his picture. However, during my research, this young man seems to have disappeared. He left his position with the University of Wisconsin sometime last year and I can find no record of him at all. Also, public records seem to stop in 2003. This may be nothing given his age of 23. If he’s just a geek at a computer, there could very well be very few records concerning him on the internet.
What concerns me though is the tone of his e-mail. He seems to know “Pete” Stahl. In my original diary, I used the name Peter, not Pete. Also, if “Pete” lives with a friend of his, then why not get Pete’s contact info from the friend? Why e-mail some nobody like me who wrote a diary about it? I did reply to his e-mail to ask those very questions and haven’t gotten a response back yet. But now I have conflicting gut feelings…
The e-mail sure smells like Storch/Stahl/Douglas. But if Storch/Stahl/Douglas is an old man (as my previous diary would indicate), then how is it that a 23 year-old Linux developer geek seems to know him or be familiar with him? Something just isn’t making sense here and I can’t put my finger on it.
I’m wondering if the whole TBRNews schtick isn’t some type of propaganda machine being run by a number of people who put stories out there hoping the liberal media will grab on and make asses of themselves. It’s difficult for me to believe this is all the work of one man. Many of the stories on TBRNews are incredibly detailed and close to the truth (but not quite). But who’s funding the operation? The white supremacist revisionist people like Willis Carto who has known connections to the Douglas persona? Could Rove have a hand in it? I haven’t seen anything that would indicate that except that I wouldn’t put it past him! I just don’t know and I find it all very strange…
I’m hoping some of you here might have some thoughts…
