Rep. Katherine Harris, who needs no introduction, will be running for senator in Florida next year against incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson (democrat). So imagine my surprise when my local paper ran an article about her this morning. And what a fun article it is.

FYI, canker is a bacterial disease to which there is no cure (State site). The state simply removes all citrus trees within 1900 feet whether infected or not. Last week they removed all the citrus trees from my neighborhood including mine (it wasn’t infected). It’s a big deal in Florida not just for the citrus growers, but for anyone who has a tree which the state can take at any time.

But fear not people, Katherine Harris has a cure.
Orlando Sentinel article

Four years ago, as the state labored to eradicate citrus canker by destroying trees, officials rejected other disease-fighting techniques, saying unproven methods would waste precious time and resources.

But for more than six months, the state, at the behest of then-Secretary of State Katherine Harris, did pursue one alternative method — a very alternative method.

Researchers worked with a rabbi and a cardiologist to test “Celestial Drops,” promoted as a canker inhibitor because of its “improved fractal design,” “infinite levels of order” and “high energy and low entropy.”

But the cure proved useless against canker. That’s because it was water — possibly, mystically blessed water.

Can I get a hallelujah?

Read the complete article as it gets better. It turns out it’s all related to Kabbalah.

From Kabbalah water site. See how the Celestial Drops description is the same as Kabbalah water.

and because of its unique crystalline structure and fractal design

is defined by symmetry and high energy

I’m emailing the story to Sen. Nelson’s office. Pass it along so others may mock her as well.
