Damn. I wasn’t paying attention. But, I can watch it again later on either Seattle or Tacoma’s PBS stations.
The first half hour, what I heard of it, was good too. The PM of Singapore was on. He’s an erudite, careful man. I liked his comments about the war in Iraq.
Wait a second… that’s not John Yoo, the same guy who helped Gonzalez write those memos authorizing torture is it?
Yep it sure must’ve been. That fat sadistic f***. Did anyone see this show? What did he say?
Pax
YUP! The same … the Human Rights Watch fellow was surprisingly civil!
Sadly, I don’t think it’s possible to watch or listen to Charlie’s show unless one pays a big fee for the video.
Charlie Rose is rebroadcast at 1:30 pm the afternoon after the previous night’s show, at least by the PBS station in New York.
Hope someone will report back what was said. I would love to have seen Yoo in the hot seat!
I was half asleep but did tape it. I’ll try to transcribe some of it if there’s enough interest.
One observation: Yoo gets OFF on torture. Just like Alberto. There’s that moral void in his eyes.
