First Election for BooTribbers

On August 2nd, there will be a special election in Ohio’s 2nd Congressional District. The incumbent Republican Congressman, Rob Portman, left to take a position as the United States Trade Representative.

The district is red, but the GOP in Ohio is in shambles and the President is polling poorly there. Moreover, the Democratic candidate, Paul Hackett is an Iraq War veteran and a good debater.

The Republicans are fielding a woman who has just accepted $10,000 from Tom DeLay’s corrupt PAC. You can contribute to Hackett’s campaign here. Add .03 cents to your contribution so he knows it is coming from BooTrib.
