MSNBC Hardball promo: “Paul Hackett wants to be the first Iraq war veteran to do battle in Congress. But first, Chris plays Hardball with the former Marine Major on whether his military service will help or hurt his bid for office.”
Hackett is running as a Democrat for Ohio’s 2nd congressional seat. Hausfrau has done a great job diarying Hackett’s campaign here at BoomanTribune.com.
Go to ActBlue.com’s Hackett page to contribute. Add $.03 to let Paul know that the contribution came from a BooTrib member!
Thanks for the heads up!
I’m excited. MSNBC is really promo’ing this show! “Will he be the first Iraq vet to go to Congress>” … etc.
Me, too! Do you think my head will explode if I watch Hardball and listen to Randi Rhodes at the same time?
Randi Rhodes always makes my head explode.
P.S. There are also the archives. Since they switched to an MP3 format, the audios seem to be up faster.
You, my dear, are worthy of a million hugs for the Air America link (as soon as I stand up from genuflecting before you and kissing your ring).
For whatever reason, none of my home stereo systems or portable radios pick up AM radio, so the only time I get to listen to Air America is when I’m in my car. And the only time I’m in my car is when I visit my parents where Air America doesn’t exist. (And I shouldn’t whine about it because the reason I’m never in my car is because I detest driving, shopping and running errands, so my fabulous husband takes care of all the shopping and errands . . .and even serves as “messenger boy” in delivering and picking up my client projects.)
So tonight, Susan, I humbly present my heartfelt thanks to you. (Although it’s kinda because I was too stupid to think of searching for Air America on the Nets to get a link on my own)
Bless you and good night – Cheers!
Oh cool! I forget how I found it but it’s been a godsend since I love Morning Sedition, but that’s aired 3AM-6AM in my time zone. So, I regularly go to Air America Place to catch the archives … I just love Marc and Mark ๐
You can too. Seriously, lots of Hackett diaries at DKos but I will put some links here. As many of you know, Ttagaris has been on the case but he is flying back to Chicago for a wedding. That wedding better have been important. They should have done what I did and just elope (and I wasn’t even working on a campaign). Anyway, Bob Brigham took the steering wheel and will keep us informed and DavidNYC has been jamming as well. Here are some links.

Swift Boater Backs Down by DavidNYC
I am really excited about this race. I have been emailing my friends all week about this. I loved how Hackett struck back at the Swift Boaters. Woooohoooo!
in Munich but please post the link to the video before you go to bed so I can see it when I get up tomorrow morning. Pleeeeeeaaaase!
I wrote to my “video guy,” and hopefully he’ll capture the video of the entire segment for us…. I’m sure he will.
So I will post the video here as soon as he sends it to me.
I gave $50.03 to Paul’s campaign on Tuesday at around 5:30 (Eastern Time)…I remember at the time, he had ~3500 donors, and had raised ~175k through ActBlue.
Check out the numbers now, less than 2 full days later!
5505 Donors
$293124.06 Total Raised
That is amazing! Let’s keep it up!
The blurb in Hardball’s newsletter:
t the half hour, we’ll talk to a man who, until recently (like 4 months ago) was Marine commanding a civil affairs unit in Iraq, and is now running for Congress in Ohio…Paul Hackett is the guy and we’ll get his take on Iraq, his campaign for Congress and why he’s running http://hackettforcongress.com/
AND (!) — MSNBC is running a NEWS STORY as well about Hackett, featuring interviews with him and with prospective voters.
I’ll see if I can get the video of that for all of you.
How did he do? I missed the first airing … will try to catch it at 8PM.
he’s well spoken, comfortable on camera, confident in his ideas, and good looking with a nice smile.
I’m so glad. He seemed good in the news bit that MSNBC did on him. I hope Chris didn’t ask him too many Swift Boat-tyep questions.
Ended up picking up Darcy early and going over to her place where we “socialized” the kittens for an hour while her DVD of Arrested Development was on ๐
