The Amazing Morphing ElePig

I made this. It isn’t perfect, but It is not bad. What do you think?

I used Adobe Photoshop and ImageReady, Quicktime Pro, and a free Mac OS X program called MorphX to make this. Here is another morph I did a while ago:

And lastly (this is not a morph) this is a refinement of a fairly controversial image I posted a few weeks ago. Some people loved it and some people hated it. Several people asked me to smooth out the rough edges, so here it is: Jesus Rode A Donkey.

I’m not getting any morphing action on the elephant,,,hmmm, maybe because I’m in dial-up hell, for the past 3 months….

Reminds me of this article in the WaPo today, GOP Embraces New Heights of Spending

GOP leaders this week sent House Republicans home for the summer with some political tips, helpfully laid out in 12 “Ideas for August Recess Events.” Drop by a military reserve center to highlight increased benefits, the talking points suggest. Visit a bridge or highway that will receive additional funding, or talk up the new prescription drug benefit for seniors.

Having skirted budget restraints and approved nearly $300 billion in new spending and tax breaks before leaving town, Republican lawmakers are now determined to claim full credit for the congressional spending. Far from shying away from their accomplishments, lawmakers are embracing the pork, including graffiti eradication in the Bronx, $277 million in road projects for Speaker J. Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.), and a $200,000 deer-avoidance system in New York. . . .

Kern County, Calif., home of powerful House Ways and Means Chairman Committee Chairman Bill Thomas (R), snagged $722 million in projects, or nearly $1,000 per person. Los Angeles County, with clogged highways and 10 million people, will receive barely $60 per resident.

but I was treated to a rant by my daughter who thought the fact that the two repub senators – Bond and Talent had asked for the same 5 mil and MO wound up with 10 mil from the trough and they bragged about it! Making her furious. She said we ought to have a “rational party” – touting common sense!

I must admit it wasn’t my idea. “dhonig” over at My Left Wing had made a republican logo saying oink (LINK. I had made a rePiglican logo back before the election, so I posted it. Then “Disgusted in St. Louis” suggested the morphing between the two.

“dhonig” is going to make bumperstickers at Cafe Press with the oinking elephant that I spiffied up with a curling tail and money in the top.
