Wake up sleepy Americans! It’s already lunch time here 😉
Pax
Mine: Coffee and a bialy with hummus. Mmmm.
Came in from a short workout — shorter than desired, at least; was on the treadmill but got a slight leg cramp. I’ll try and get in another session later today.
Hmmm…breakfast…thinking about maybe yogurt and fruit myself, with a toasted English muffin, since I can eat that at the computer. I should start eating at the dining room table, and I will if the spouse will stop piling junk on it to where there’s only one space open, his. (I’m not feeling charitable toward him anyway, long story…)
Still trying to figure out how long I should wait after workout before eating, to avoid tummy cramps…
Mmmmm…white flesh peaches fromm our local organic orchard.
And of course, no day is complete without caffeine!
Coffee and sprouted wheat bagel with almond butter. Fell in love with the almond butter as I’m trying to give up the animal products.
Isn’t almond butter the best?! It’s to die for on toast — with butter ! Ha! And good jam!
Although lately i tried the grind-it yourself kind at a nearby market and that wasn’t as good as the kind in a jar.
how are the coons?
FUNNY YOU SHOULD ASK!
(Just kidding… some person on the Racoon (sic) Yahoo group sent that photo :):):))
I also learned something new yesterday on the list!
Rehabbers use bowls of water as their “litter boxes” — they prefer to poop in water. Who knew.
P.S. My neighbor Pat gave me a 10 lb. bag of high quality dog food! What a gift! And I’ve been buying reduced price grapes, which they just adore. ANd I’ve boiled a DOZEN eggs this week. I found out, though, that Valerie P.’s babies can’t get the shell off … they were struggling so with that pesky shell … so I peel them now before I put them out.
I’m a cold cereal kind of person. Give me Post Cranberry Almond Crunch this morning and some coffee. And did I mention coffee.

Sorry – it’s past my lunch time – just enjoying magnificent yachts from the past. Check out the links, sailing is still a second nature of the Dutch!

Just about every morning, in a bowl, I mix:
7-grain cereal
handful of raisins
small handful of raw walnuts (or pecans for a special treat)
dash of salt
— all mixed thoroughly —
Microwave for 7-9 minutes. Add more butter (yeah, yeah.)
Coffe and bagel with cream cheese or jelly, crammed in between walking the dog and dropping off the son at high school on the way to work.
Except on weekends, when I have time to become conscious before breakfast, and might have something more decadent, like French toast and breakfast sausage.
No it’s not healthy, but I make up for it later in the day with salads, etc. LOL
Bowl of oatmeal, with brown sugar substitute and mixed frozen berries stirred in. A couple of pieces of string cheese. Coffee. (Oh, I needed that last!)
1 cup of plain lowfat yogurt
1 cup of “Go Lean” cereal
2 teaspoons of ground flax seeds
1 teaspoon of locally ground peanutbutter
~350 calories.
Hmmmmmmm….. –M
with fresh peaches and yogurt, oj and coffee
Peace
BooMan! A new blog ad!
Is it bad if i’m just now waking up and eating breakfast on the east coast… whoops
2 boiled eggs
1 slice Health Nut toast w/ REAL butter
Huge glass of 1/2&1/2 — that’s 1/2 fresh OJ + 1/2 fresh Ruby Red g’fruit juice
Mug of caffeine-free ersatz freeze-dried coffee (I don’t dig coffee, just want womething warm) with whole milk and 2 pkts. Splenda
Okay — so I usually only have brimming bowlful of Quaker Toasted Oatmeal (gawd I love that stuff!) with enough blueberries to turn the milk blue. But I ate that for dinner last night after I got home from the baseball game.
