So today a friend told me that my last diary was not productive.

A fine rant he said, but utterly unproductive.

I disagree (surprise, surprise, I know)…

And here’s why… and yes, it’s a rant too… sorry to not disappoint 🙂

You say that you thought my points against Kos in a comment were a productive rant… why? I think my thoughts about Kos to be far less important than my dissemination of Bush’s talking points (albeit with a withering disdain) to be far more productive. Who really gives a shit about Kos in the long haul? A few liberal bloggers right? About the same amount who would be reading my rant about Bush and his disgusting equation between Saddam and 9/11; his integration of freedom for America with Osama bin Hussien which have absolutely nothing to do with one another and is more frightening for the planet than anything outside a war with North Korea and/ or Iran; and the use of the new and improved “axis of evil” phrase to “new enemies for a new century” which takes the bullshit meter a notch above it’s tipping point…

So yeah. I didn’t articulate a solution or a plan of action to counter this… you know why??

Because that’s not my fucking job.

That’s W’s job.

And Cheney’s job.

And Rumsfeld’s job.

And Rice’s job.

But not mine.

My job is to point out the dangerousness of what they are saying their job is and what their job actually consists of to an audience who can mobilize and go speak truth to power to their friends and neighbours.

That’s all I’m taking accountability for. And how I say it is how I say it… I don’t have speech writers and editors. I just have me.

That will have to do.

Ah hell, you want productive? Okay, here goes…

  1. Fucking get off your ass and demand that Bush accept the help Paul Martin, PM of Canada has offered to New Orleans and the South. Enough posturing. PEOPLE ARE DYING.
  2. Pull out all military “war making” troops from Iraq, leave the rebuilders and bring the UN in.
  3. Impeach Bush NOW. Like I’ve said before, the line of succession means nothing if you prosecute all the criminals at one… Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, Hastert, DeLay, Frist, etc. etc. etc. Grow some goddamn balls people. Who gives a shit what the right calls you ~ loony? Crazy? Wouldn’t we all give for a patriot loony enough to call for an independent prosecutor to determine why American soldiers died (gotta go with the constituents vs. the ordinary Iraqi’s here, or so I’m told…) for a lie vs. no one dying for a blow job?? Don’t count on 2006 to save you, the system is so rigged with Diebold et al that you don’t have a prayer anyway… unless you’re Biden – D, MBNA.
  4. MAKE GLOBAL WARMING YOUR NUMBER ONE POLICY CONCERN. Hey Wall Street… it will save money in the long run… unless you are Halliburton or an Oil Company… Oops, sorry, best leave this one be…
  5. New Enemies for a New Century. ~ If this doesn’t wake everyone up to what we are dealing with I have no idea what will and I should just stop now.

Oh whatever, everyone here knows what’s up. Supposedly my time would best be spent dissecting WHY the talking points hold such resonance with the populous at large… but that’s a friggin’ full time job and I’m just beat…

So whatever, these guys are criminal enough that anyone can find more to add to this list…

But I am sorry to disappoint and be just another part of the “noise making machine ~ ie. the media” or “the problem”.
