Yo Liberals–
I don’t usually go for this kind of humor, but I actually liked it. I tried it out on some friends and they liked it too:

It’s worth a few chuckles, believe me. It also shows that the utterly horrifying folly of our non-existent energy policy is finally starting to trickle down into the popular culture a bit.
Peace be with you. Happy Friday, eh?
Thanks for that. π
I gave up my car early 2004 but we share a huge old gas guzzler among the roommates here at the house, so I can sure relate!
I like my bicycle. π
Hey catnip – I think you and I may be the only ones here tonight.
Just keep that fire going!
That is just too great! I absolutely love it! Thanks!
that it was preceded by a car ad…
I’m hoping the prices will cause people to think about public transportation — then again, with the spouse being a bus driver, I’ve got more than a passing interest in the subject…
He’s gone back to work, right? How did that go?
He’s in the “transitional work program”; still not cleared to drive a bus (getting closer, but not quite there), but at least he’s out of the apartment (and my hair!) for 8 hours/day.
Wednesday he spent the 8 hours watching training videos (happy happy joy joy); the past two days he’s been “platform ambassador” for light rail, checking trains to make sure there are no wheelchair passengers that need to move to the forward car (we have low-floor train cars, but some of the stations are not designed for them; that’s what the stupid system gets for changing car designs mid-stream), and helping people figure out how to operate the ticket machines. Not exactly the most exciting job in the world — he’s definitely looking forward to getting back behind the wheel!
Thanks for asking…are you still getting enough rest for your body to finish healing? You’d better be… π
Just the little ditty I needed to cap off an evening on BT, thanks.
