Simplexity’s photos. |
I wound up having too many photos to process and not enough time to do in the BooTrib format – so I’ve set them up on public web pages via my .Mac account.
You can find my “entries” for the BooTrib photo fair here.
there are several pages, roughly organized by location. Should not require a password.
enjoy!
Very tasty! You’ve a good eye sir. Kudos.
Peace
How come my vacation pictures look like vacation pictures and yours look like a travelogue? I especially love the windmill sunset, butterfly house, and view from 12k. Great selection.
my guess is the biggest difference is approach and quantity
I take a lot of “snapshots” and they’re great for remembering what we did – but they aren’t photographs.
photographs are taken with an eye for light, framing, etc – and I usually shoot at least 3 or 4 times – often more.
The 135 photos I have submitted here are taken from a total of about 37,000 shots taken over the last 4 years.
On our last couple vacations, I’ve taken over 6,000 shots, and I’ll cull those down to about 400-600 that are really keepers and then make memory books out of them for the family.
In short – MOST of my pictures are lousy – but if you shoot enough you get some gems.
wanted to be sure everyone noted that there are multiple pages
Chicago and St. Louis
KC, Scouting and Sunflowers
Denver and Rocky Mountain National Park
New York City
Boston
And some favorite Baseball shots
135 photos in all – I tend to enjoy shooting just a LITTLE too much π Have about 37,000 photos and snapshots taken on my Canon G2 – which I got when it was high end of the line in Jan. 2002. Absolutely love the camera – but I wouldn’t sneeze at a new D20 π
Outstanding …..great framing, and the I agree, bracket, bracket, bracket….never too many, or enough angles ; )
KUDOS
One of the great features of digital – you can always just delete the ones that don’t work and nothing wasted. π
And I hate you. HAHAHA…when I go to places it looks like I’m a tourist. Your pictures show the love. I’m from Kansas City and my husband has never seen it in any month outside of Nov. So this was nice to show him pics that prove the sun shines on the city. We have pics of similar areas of the city, some taken from mere feet away. Yours are so much more nicer than ours.
I’ve got a bunch more of KC. Made a whole book for my family – at SOME point I’m going to make the book a PDF and then it will be easy to share.
In the meantime – just for you Fabooj – I’ve uploaded the “2nd tier” of photos from that trip.
enjoy
That’s too funny, we have the same pictures of the same fountains. Of course, mine are in Nov. so they just look sad. I’m about to show my husband your photos. I can’t believe I’ve taken him back to KC 3 times now and still haven’t taken him to the Nelson. When I was a kid, we went there all the time. Thanks for the pics.
I got so involved in your pictures that I forgot to add you to the photo fair links.
I’m very sorry but I have added you now.
What…. it’s not like you’ve had anything ELSE to do…. right π
(oh – but it’s “simplexity” not “simplicity”)
I’m difficult like that π
thanks for all the work to put this on – I think it’s a huge success.
Several nice comments over on MLW too.
thanks
just be greatful I don’t insist on having the whole “it’s simple IF you ignore the complexity” used – it’d break the margins π
