Why are you around at a time like this? Working at night? Coming from a different time zone?
Do you know about our European Breakfast threads prepared daily by Fran over at Eurotrib?
How do you split your time between Booman’s and Eurotrib? Take the poll
>Why are you around at a time like this?
Genetic disposition to Nightowl-itis.
>Do you know about our European Breakfast threads…
They’re great!! Breaking news there is actually really “breaking”.
I particularly like the economic related diaries on ET, as it seems to be somewhat difficult to find reliable economic information. Sure as hell isn’t much that’s reliable in the daily newspapers or MSM/TV.
Hi–
I’m a nightowl, posting from the East Coast of the US (New England). Just pretend I live somewhere between California and Hawaii (don’t tell me it’s open ocean) and I will seem normal.
So, you are trying to coax me over to ET, and what do I see? A diary on the new German Chancellor! The Iron Maiden indeed! How depressing. Can’t figure out why the EU should want to try out the old, well-proven mistakes of Britain and the US! 😉
–Gaianne
Well, ET is a lot about trying to make more people realise that these are “old, well-proven mistakes” because that’s not haow they are sold with increasing volume over here…
Thanks for your reply.
It is too late–well, early, actually–for this nightowl to do more tonight.
I will look forward to a closer look “tomorrow.”
Jerome, Thank you so much for promoting out Photography Fair. I hope you had a chance to stop by some of the exhibits?
100% Boo. Not being old europe and not feeling new in anything I’ve never been over there. Ya’ll not murkins anyhow.
Call my boss won’tcha? Tell’m I’m goin’ back t’ bed again. Go White Sox.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
You should really check it out, Andrew. I love it, and the only reason I don’t spend more time there is the level of jealous rage that hearing about their healthcare incites in me.
But yeah, Go Sox!!! I forgot you’re a Southsider! I am, er, a snobby Northside Cubs fan, but we Chicagoans have to take our victories wherever we can get ’em. 🙂
I read both, but rarely particpate at ET. Particularly when dealing with German politics, it’s almost impenitrable as the unexplained jargon is so thick. I also find the lack of any view of the newer EU countries disappointing.
issues that interest me, like protecting whales, the environment, and “safe clean” nuclear energy.
I read both, post at both, but spend more time at Boo because…I dunno, really.
I like ET for the chance to see/hear what’s up from another angle – the U.S. is not the center of the universe.
I saw this thread during the day, but I work 36 hours/week at night – 7p-7a eastern time – so I often haunt both sites at add hours.
