I got a mailing supposedly from the Democrats called “2005 Official Democrat and Progressive Voter Guide”. Knowing that I’m voting for Kaine, I really didn’t pay attention to it. But I did notice that it mentioned voting for Russ Potts for Governor. FOr those who aren’t aware, Russ Potts is an old-school Republican running as an independent in this race and has more impact on Kilgore than Kaine.
More below…
It wasn’t until I was in this diary that it occurred to me that something was wrong. If you read the fine print, it was produced by “Virginians for Jerry Kilgore”. I have busted out my trusty scanner and scanned the thing in. Below are pitcures of this abomination. Click on the thumbnails for larger views.

This tactic disgusts me. Anyone have any suggestions on how to combat this crap???
I’d send it to the Kaine campaign office. Make sure they’re aware of it, at least. And if you can, take a bright neon-yellow highlighter and mark that small print on every copy of this thing you can find.
I heard a nasty radio spot today, too — saying how Kaine was “for” illegal immigrants getting jobs and healthcare, and “what part of illegal does Kaine not understand?” — paid for by the Kilgore campaign.
They’re scared and pulling out all the stops, looks like.
Best of luck to Kaine from a Maryland Democrat…
Thanks.
Seems that Kaine’s people are aware of this and are going to fight it if they can.
And the illegal immigration ad play here in VA every commerical break or better yet we get one that starts (think scary male voice) “Liberal Tim Kaine…” It makes me laugh everytime I hear it.
I’ve signed up to do some remote phonebanking because of this crap. Hope Kaine pulls it out. Kilgore is obviously a tool, and I hardly know him.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! You rock! Kilgore is a tool of the highest magnitude.
Wish I could give you more than a 4.
