As some of you must have read, I did e-mail a letter to the GrandMothers of Plaza de Mayo in preparation for the “welcome” to Bush in Argentina. Just got am email from them.
It reads:
Dear Nico:
We think yours was a great idea, and maybe we can add a few more lines to your suggestions for signs
1-Cindy, your struggle is our struggle
Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo and Mothers of
Plaza de Mayo- Founders Line.
2_All People united say NO to war.
Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo and Mothers of
Plaza de Mayo- Founders Line.
3-Cindy your son was murdered by those who cretate war
Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo and Mothers of
Plaza de Mayo- Founders Line.
4-Cindy, your son’s death hurts us as much as our dissappeared
Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo and Mothers of
Plaza de Mayo- Founders Line.
I know that some of us here will be assisting some of Cindy’s events, and I will try to forward my e-mail to the address that I recieved, but since she did not reply to me in the past, it would be nice if someone who sees her or has contact with her can pass along this message to her.
For those interested, you can read a little about the Mother and the Grandmothers
I can’t begin to tell you how much i love and respect these women
Thanks for this reminder that no matter where we are, all our struggles are part of one great struggle: paz y justicia.
I highly recommend the excellent dramatic film The Official Story for the historical situation, and work of the grandmothers
