I have an idea that actually brings together a few ideas that have been percolating through my mind for a few months. In part this stems from my experience being filmed by a documentary film crew from Spain for a documentary called “Stop Bush.” And partly this comes from my on-again, off-again fascination for Al Gore’s Current TV. This will be an ongoing project with potential money and exposure for the fim maker involved and publicity for the organizations involved. Ideally I want to start THIS SUNDAY, but of course it could start later.

I need someone(s) with a video camera and experience using it. I need that person to some documetary-style filming for a brief segment on DDDB and the Walkathon. I am looking to create a series of “activism in action” segments for what could be called a “Progressive Faces of NYC” series that I think we can target to Current TV. Current TV pays for such segments and they welcome series of segments, for example a series of “parenting” segments, coverage of Haiti and Afghanistan segments, etc.

Does anyone have the proper equipment and experience who is available Sunday? Can I talk to some DDDB people about filming the Walkathon for

such a segment and getting interviews with them? Note: I have NO experience in this other than being a subject (one of many) of a documentary last year. But this could be a project that covers all of our efforts in different segments, and gets our groups publicity.

Again, Current TV does pay for segments and that money could go to the film makers or could be donated to some of our efforts, depending on how we want to and legally can handle it.

Any thoughts? Please contact me before Sunday if you are interested!
