I realized that black Americans with their finely tuned antennae for such things, have come to realize that the entire agenda of Bush is based on returning to the good old days of black disenfranchisement. This is to be acoimplished by voter intimidation, outright voting precinct slowdowns, software and computer erasures of voters, and the many strategems of Katherine Harris and her clones in other states.
The disenfranchisement of black voters accomplishes several things for Bush.It removes a constituency that is likely to make it difficult for him to grab power.Removal of that pesky problem will magnify the impact of the Fundie Christian constituents and when things get close he can rely on Diebold to throw the election towards him.
If the Democratic Party does not fight for the restoration of black voting rights fully and unconditionally, it has no reason for existence.
