Loan Nguyen, known to bloggers by his pen name Oldman, has died after a short illness this past week at the age of 32. A frequent poster on Blogging of the President 2004, as well as his own blog–which so far–is still up, he was known to bloggers for his exceptional and clear insights, his ability to penetrate economic data, his feel for strategy, and his sense of moral obligation and purpose.
