Wisdom and truth of the dervish?

The recent discovery of the memo from Iraq in Steven D’s Diary gives us more to work with in searching for the truth.

Some questions were posed to us as

SEC Associates is a firm, based in the United States, that provides a multitude of services to private and governmental clients related to security issues, including intelligence and investigative services. It is unclear at this time why a director of SEC was directing an SEC employee in Baghdad to conduct an investigation of this incident involving a two person PSD team employed by Triple Canopy. The identity of the individual referred to as “Majidk” in the memo, and the basis of his or her information regarding this incident is also unclear.

The work of SEC includes background checks for their own company as a service for sale to other companies. They provide services in risk assessment, prevention, intelligence, consulting and investigation to name just a few. There’s a good chance that this is part of a possible insurance claim, criminal investigation, company or employee background check, risk rating assessment or similar function.

Curious questions as to who/what makidj is, what part of the spectrum SEC operates in such as this convoluted tale… Fake SEAL accuses soldiers of torture and who or what Dervish is, all came to my mind.

SEC’s Tampa location and activities puts it in the heart of operations that could be either sincere positive covert intelligence, disinformation, genuine-positive but exploited by neocons or just another opportunistic PSC company.

The concern for the sincerity of SEC as a fact-finding investigative firm comes from their obvious agenda in the wording of the reason to pursue the investigation.
(C) MAKIDJ EXPRESSES GRAVE CONCERN THAT "THESE GUYS WERE ON THE WAY HOME AND DECIDED THAT THEY NEEDED TO KILL A FEW IRAQIS JUST FOR THE HELL OF IT---COWBOYS AND MURDERERS LIKE THESE [EXPLETIVE DELETED] ARE GOING TO UNDERMINE THE ENTIRE EFFORT IN IRAQ. THEY HAVE STAINED THE NAMES OF THE US MILITARY PERSONNEL WHO HAVE BEEN KIA OR WIA IN IRAQ. IF I WAS [IRAQI] I'D BE TRYING TO KILL THESE [EXPLETIVE DELETED] 'CONTRACTORS', TOO!"
If it was this obvious, wouldn’t the Triple Canopy employees had a bit more than 9 hours detainment and allowed to proceed without much trouble?

I just get the feeling that too much effort is put into influencing the perception of the memo.

Due to the grey areas of sensitivity, I’ll say, without providing links, that I found several references (through normal Google searches) of Dervish as a surveillance tool, such as in UAVs. This would be my guess as to how the border patrol was able to identify and stop these 3C employees so quickly with detailed information.

There is also a dervish that’s quite active on several sites, especially the freeper one. He/she is an interesting read.

Really, it’s all a ruse to offer the speculation that Dervish is actually…., well,…a dervish

by T.L. James of MarsBlog. Part of our weekly Sufi Wisdom series. As terrorist Islam does its best to discredit the religion, it is important to remember that there are other voices within the faith. One such is the Sufis, a branch of Islamic mystics with roots in many religious traditions. The lessons of Sufism are often communicated through humorous stories and mystical or romantic poetry.

There was once a Dervish who had divinatory powers, having arrived at the Fourth Stage of Understanding. A certain woman who had four young sons and was anxious for their future, approached him and begged him to take them under his protection.

The Dervish pondered, and then said:

'Ask me not why; but make sure that the first boy becomes a shopkeeper, the second a priest and the third a soldier. If they do not take up these occupations it will not go well for them: but if they do, they will be protected.'

The four youths grew up and followed the careers indicated by the Dervish, with the fourth becoming his disciple.

Every year the men visited the Dervish, grateful for the success which attended them in life and convinced that it came from the benediction of the sage.

After many years the fourth lad, now himself a respected teacher, asked the Dervish why people placed so much reliance on the Fourth Stage of Understanding. He himself, after all, was widely revered, and he had not received this illumination.

'I can illustrate something of its use,' replied the ancient, 'by referring to the day when your mother brought you boys to see me. I perceived by my inner powers, from the Fourht Stage, that the first lad would become a thief, the second a liar and the third a killer. Their occupations licensed or protected them in these tendencies...'

    'And I?'

'You were the only one who sought Truth without desire for gain or protection.'
