Claire McCaskill is a Democrat running for the U.S. Senate in Missouri against Jim Talent(less). The St. Louis Post Dispatch is reporting that David Exposito, her former husband and the father of her three children, has been found shot to death in Kansas City. Don’t know how this will affect her race for senate, if at all, since they’ve been divorced since 1995. Certainly it will affect her children and that might affect her and the race.
“Obviously, this is an incredibly difficult time for me and my children, as they grieve the loss of their father,” McCaskill said in a written statement. “I will be spending time with my children to help them through this terrible loss, and I know others will respect my family’s privacy at this tragic time.”
