Whether or not Bush is impeached, I think it is critically important to keep this breach of the public trust in front of the voting public as much as possible. An electorate that is worried about abuse of power is one that will want checks and balances to really work and that means people will vote to put more Democrats in Congress.
I think we will have more to gain by focusing on the abuse of power and disregard for the Constitution than by concentrating on a call for impeachment. It can be more powerful to show people the wrongs that Bush has done and let them draw their own conclusions than to tell people that they ought to be outraged.
