On January 21st, People For the American Way Foundation, along with the New Democracy Project, Demos, and The Nation , will co-host Saving Our Democracy: A Colloquium to Rescue Our Democracy from the Far Right. This is an all day event, from 9:00am to 5:30pm, and will feature keynote addresses from Congressman John Conyers and Professor Sean Wilentz, author of the The Rise of American Democracy: Jefferson to Lincoln, and eight topical sessions with distinguished panelists including:
- Congressman Jerrold Nadler;
- Ralph G. Neas, President, People For the American Way Foundation;
- Mark Green, President, New Democracy Project;
- David Brock, President, Media Matters for America;
- John Nichols, Washington correspondent for The Nation and co-founder of the media reform group Free Press; and
- other leading advocates and authors.
