3 ounces white tequila
1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
2 ounces fresh pomegranate juice
2 ounces triple sec
1 tablespoon homemade grenadine (I’d leave this out, personally)
2 thin curls of lime zest
A few pomegranate seeds
Dip a finger in the lime juice and use it to wet the outsides of the rims of two martini glasses. Roll the outsides of the rims in salt. Measure the liquid ingredients into cocktail shaker containing ice cubes and swirl the mixture until cold. Strain into chilled glasses. Place the lime zest on the glass rim and drop in a few pomegranate seeds. Makes 2 margaritas.
(to get you in the mood for random 10) Dancing with Joey Ramone:
He walked into the party looking just like he had in the past
He came up to me and he didn’t even have to ask
I tried to say something, he said “Girl shut your mouth”
They played “Your papa was a rolling stone”
Last night I dreamed I was dancing with Joey Ramone…
He was cool in his leather jacket and his little dark shades
He started dancing around I tried to copy every move he made
When I reached for his hand he kind of brushed me off
The band played “Hanging on the Telephone”
Last night when I was dancing with Joey Ramone

From Spink to Correctionville – Leo Kottke and Mike Gordon
Two Little Girls – Ani DiFranco
Bubble Pop Electric – Gwen Stefani
One Horse Town – The Thrills
What are They Doing in Heaven Today – Jorma Kaukonen
Boiler – Limp Bizkit
How to be a Lady – Erin McKeown
Faint – Linkin Park
Waste – Phish
Tear My Stillhouse Down – Gillian Welch
Last week was clearly an aberration. I knew it couldn’t last that I would recognize music. Other than Gwen Steffani, I don’t know anyone on your list. No that’s not true, I know Limp Bizkit — but not that song.
This one is much better than most for me. I have Leo Kottke, Ani DiFranco, Phish, and Gillian Welch. I know Gwen Stefani, Limp Bizkit, and Linkin Park. So the only unknown is Erin McKeown. I’m in shock.
I’ll have to do that too. She’s the only one there that I don’t recognize. I once saw an amazing and tiny show with Jorma and Hot Tuna… all acoustic! How fun!
Where’d you see that Jorma/Tuna show? I saw them in Petaluma at some little itty bitty place, and Jorma actually used to come and play my friend’s birthday bash every year.
Wow! Impressive, CG! 🙂 Where did I see that show? It had to have been in CT or western NY someplace. I could probably dig out the ticket stub somewhere… Wait a minute!
Where are all my ticket stubs? I don’t remember seeing them here. Hmmm… I must look into that. I hope they didn’t get lost during the move. < stomp stomp stomp >
Once again contending for “most eclectic” category:
Lust for Life — Iggy Pop
To the Praise — Justo Almario (sort of a “Christian New Age”, if that’s not a contradiction in terms)
Solemn Melody (comp. Walford-Davies) — Peter Hurford
Laetabundus exsultet fidelis Chorus — Clemencic Consort
Tell Me Something Good — Rufus & Chaka Khan
The Times They Are-A Changin’ — Simon & Garfunkel
Poisoning Pigeons in the Park — Tom Lehrer
The New Earth — John Michael Talbot
Hermitage — Pat Metheny
Building the Perfect Beast — Don Henley
in my collection is the New Chautaqua album…but it’s my absolute favorite. Had it in cassette many moons ago, and searched forever till I came across a CD copy waaaay in the back of the jazz bin at local Tower Records. Golden find… 🙂
OK, here’s mine:
Check on It – Beyonce and Slim Thug
50 Ways to Leave your Lover – Paul Simon
Do You Remember? – Phil Collins
Spanish Eyes – Ricky Martin
Cover Me – Bruce Springsteen
New York Minute – Don Henley
Tell Her About It – Billy Joel

Out of my Head – Fastball
Maggie May – Rod Stewart
Yeah, I used to go out and buy albums as soon as they came out but for some reason, in the last ten years I’ve tended to wait to buy music until a song’s been played to death, so everything is pretty mainstream. Although now, with itunes I find myself experimenting a little bit again. That’s how Beyonce ended up in there.
I’m surprised none of my classical or jazz came up. Itunes must be cooperating with my mood today.
It must be “Be kind to the Dinosaur Day” because the only one on our list I don’t know is Fastball. And I have Dave Brubeck, Paul Simon, and Billy Joel.

I really like Shirley Horn although I don’t own any of her music. I’ve probably heard the Otis Spann and Suzanne Vega but I never recognize names. It takes me forever to actually know who is singing/playing and even longer to know the name of the work. And forget knowing the words. I filter out everything but the music.
Otis Spann was a great blues piano player. He died in 1970 so I’m not surprised you haven’t heard of him.
I am surprised you haven’t heard of Jimmy Smith. He was a jazz musician who played the Hammond B-3 electric organ and he was a treasure (he just died last year).

OK, I’ve redeemed myself with number ten. Jumping in the car right now. See y’all latte! Oh, and pomegranite martinis are really really good, imo. 🙂
Hee-hee. The Delays are high-speed Beach Boys, I think. They are very fun. I myself like many of the classics, along with the just damn good music folks, but I’ve got a chunk of indie-alternative going on too. 🙂
Must be one of those rips in the space-time continuum again. I’ve got Simon & Garfunkel (on vinyl as well as digital), Cowboy Junkies, Dr. John, and Bob Marley & the Wailers.
And the only ones I haven’t heard of are the delays and the kaiser chiefs.
Delays and Kaiser Chiefs are recent indie alternative types. Actually, the Delays are like high-speed Beach Boys. I listen to KEXP out of Seattle, and donate to them faithfully. John in the Morning (9am-1pm EST) is the love of my life. I’ll bet you’d like it. They stream, and you can check out their playlists on their website, and listen to the past two weeks worth of programming. OK, Aztec Camera just came on from iTunes now… 🙂 More redemption.
for starters, he drove up my site visit numbers today, that was nice. We’ll see if he sticks around. I’m in the mood to box. Speaking of boxing, any word from Boxer on the filibuster?
a whopping 30 hits today, when my daily average had been decimated to 8 after I took that break over the holidays. Oh well, I don’t write to attract an audience, I do it so I can get my thoughts out of my brain (although I love when people come visit!) 🙂
Well how do you know he was lurking for 71 minutes? Is the NSA spying on you and MS. As for “illegal immigrant” send the cute troll to Paul Hackett’s site. At least those two will have something in common. (I know were suppose to be nice here, but I have already had a few to many caffinated diet pepsi.
Alan Parsons Project – Games People Play

Van Morrison – And It Stoned Me
The Last Change Jug Band – King And Queen Blues
The Whites – Sandy Land
Donovan – The Mountain
I have four peach crates of LPs in storage, some of which have been out of print for years and years, just crying out for transfer. Some might even be worth the effort. I suspect a few are random K-Tel compilations that cram 30 songs onto an LP by leaving out roughly half of each song, but there are some wonderful old hi-fi demonstration records (theater organs, circus bands and the like) and, admittedly, some stuff that you listen to and know why it’s no longer availble. 🙂
I have a few casettes that are out of print that I would like to transfer as well, Assuming time and a great deal of loving abuse haven’t completely demagnetized them by now. This includes the very first albums from both The Muppet Show and Saturday Night Live. How the world has gotten along for so long without the benefit of Kermit the Frog singing “Lydia the Tattooed Lady” or Dan Aykroyd doing his impersonation of Jimmy Carter, I’ll never know.
Ha! My sister got the DVD of the first season of the Muppet Show for Christmas and we sat and watched the whole thing one weekend. And he sang Lydia. I agree, I can’t believe its not in print.
Huh. I found a Muppet CD over on Amazon that has about half of the songs from the tape, but unfortunately not Lydia. I’d post a link but hey, Amazon is so not a blue company.
Hey SOOOOO-zun! Why doesn’t BT have an affiliate that sells CDs? Or would that be Powell’s?
Ya’ll make me feel so old with the ipods. I got a little generic one when I signed up for something, but I’ve only used it maybe twice. My 11 year old niece got a new one that does the video too and she was asking me to show her how it worked.. Like I really know ;).
I finally got to the library and got McCullough’s John Adams and The Blue Corn Murders by Kansas. I’m set in for reading all weekend.
We’re in the same range, I’m just cheap ;). Unless I hear something I really really like I don’t buy. Actually I haven’t listened to regular radio in years.
I don’t listen to radio either. We have a DirecTv which has music channels which is where I tend to run across new people. But mostly we just keep buying people we’ve always liked.
Not to long ago I got every old album and CD out I had and made them all into mp3’s. I’ve got a little over 900 songs now.
Now if we talk about memorable concerts:
First concert: The Who
Best Concert: The Eagles/Dan Fogelberg
Least Remembered Concert: David Bowie (and that’s all I’m going to say about that one ;))
Most Memorable Concert: Todd Rundgren
Last Concert: BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN
First concert: The Beatles (1964)
Best Concert: Janis Joplin
Least Remembered Concert: Mott the Hoople
Most Memorable Concert: Bette Midler (1973) — the audience was almost as much fun as she was
Last Concert: Michelle Shocked
First concert: Peter Gabriel (1977)
Best Concert: St. Lawrence String Quartet with Jon Nakamatsu, piano (we’re not limiting this to rock, are we?)
Least remembered concert: None
Most Memorable Concert: Jethro Tull (1987 — first concert with the guy who became the spouse)
Last Concert: Rush
Oh, well if we don’t limit it to rock, my most memorable concert may well be Awadagin Pratt with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra in the early 1990’s. I wish I could remember which of Mozart’s piano concerti he performed (I’m not good with numbers) but it was one I wasn’t familiar with. It was one of those experiences where the audience is on their feet the minute the last chord is played and at intermission total strangers were talking to each other about how great it was. You couldn’t help yourself.
OMG!!! I mean, I know this cafe is closed and all, but the Beatles?? Janis?? And wrapping it all up with Michelle Shocked? Oh man, am I jealous. But not as jealous as I am of SallyCat who got to see the Doors… Jim Morrison, my god… I swear I was born 20 years too late sometimes…
Janis at the stadium in Winnipeg, summer of ’70. Year you were born, right? Hah. Good year to be born I’d say. Janis was great. And some guy got up on stage and gave her a kiss and said, “Here’s for the boys in __ whereever, I don’t recall now.” Never fazed Janis a bit, she just belted out the next one. And such a powerful presence. ( No doubt you’ve seen singers walk out on stage, and you wonder what the heck this doesn’t look like much, but then when they lay into it you think oo lalah pure power!
Anyway, I think it’s all relative, as Einstein would say, so I don’t know maybe you missed something and gained something else equal or better. As Arlo G would say, just wait, it’ll come around again on the guitar.
So, I’m sure there were many musical events to appreciate in your time too.
but you don’t need to be jealous of that Beatles concert because the only good thing about it was its historic value. The acoustics were crap and there were screamers all around making it possible impossible to even hear them play.
Seeing Janis Joplin, OTOH, you can be jealous of. She was just amazing. No other concert I’ve ever been to — rock, jazz, classical can compare.
BTW, don’t know if you’ll be jealous or not but another group that was just great in concert was the Lovin’ Spoonful. They knew how to show the audience a really good time.
I don’t listen to the radio much any more. Frankly I find most of what’s out there unlistenable.
In spite of the RIAA’s best efforts to kill it, though, there’s plenty to listen to here on the good ol’ Web. I’ll post some of my favorite outlets below as replies to the main story.
Do you own your music on CD’s? Cuz Itunes is a free download and then you can just put your cd’s onto your itunes. You don’t have to buy any new music. It’s just a good way to sort it.
The download is free but the songs will cost ya 99 cents a piece. Most of ’em anyway; there’s some free stuff out there too.
If you sign up for iTunes just make sure you use the links here to do it so Booman gets a cut. That way you get your music and you support Booman’s favorite cause (this blog).
Only the songs you buy — you can load your own songs on for free. I had an ipod and itunes for an entire year before I ever bothered to buy anything from Itunes.
But it is kind of addictive once you start. And I’m sure to click through from the site when I decide to buy — in fact I just bought a Wynton Marsalis album tonight.
I’m downloading a bunch of early ’80s songs right now…I’m in a nostalgic frame of mind, and the songs remind me of fun times like working Saturday overtime with the order entry crew, and the boss bringing in donuts and sitting at a terminal just like the rest of us…
Yep, that’s what I have. I just play iTunes on the computer, both at home and work, a combination of downloaded CDs and purchased albums.
I like being able to set more than one album or a long mixed list of songs to play without having to change the CD! (or turn the record over, but I’m really dating myself there…)
Sorry I just got back. I think I should be able to get through it hopefully in 2-3 days. Once I get to reading and I like the book, I tune everything out and only come up for air once in a while. I’m going to start it tonight.
I don’t have an iPod but I do have an MP3 program for my Palm Tungsten E. Every Monday morning it gets loaded up with Wait! Wait! Don’t Tell Me, Says You, My Word, My Music, Le Show and other goodies timeshifted off the Net, and it and I spend many carefree hours on the bus going to work and back.
I’ve thought about getting an iPod but I have other places to spend my money right now and honestly, it’d just be one more thing to lug around and, most likely, break.
I agree with you, but I thought the one my neice got was cool because of the video and pictures. Then again, I’m a gadget person and if I could afford it I would have a house overflowing with gadgets.
It has a few limitations but for what it does it is very nice. The price is right for a Palm organizer. Of course I would love to have one with built-in WiFi and Bluetooth and a 50 gig hard drive, but like I said I’m savin’ my pennies these days.
Whoa!…concerts and club shows…too many to count and some outrageous ones scattered over the decades.
One of the fondest memories is of a Steeleye Span show at Ebbets Field, a very small club in Denver (mid 70’s)…200 people stuffed in a basement – 2 songs into the 1st. set all the power went out, emergency lighting went on and, for all intents and purposes the show was over…NOT. The band went back on stage and did an hour and a half set acoustic and acapella…power came back up and they played until 2 AM…oh yeah…good show!
Also, if you like yer Blues on the Chicago side…check this one out:
Taildragger: Live at Vern’s Friendly Lounge on Chi-towns West Side.
A post farther up by AndiF got me to thinking. Radio is almost unlistenable these days, between “urban” music, right-wing talk and the same fifty oldies over and over (even if I like the oldies). So what do I listen to? My computer, of course. Here are some of my favorite links for music and news I really enjoy:
Public Radio Fan
This site is incredible. It lists most of the public and community radio stations in the US and some outside the country, and every single station listed on the site streams. There’s even a directory of programs on the site. You can listen to Amy Goodman twelve times a day if you want. 🙂
BBC World Service
News and events from the British point of view, along with gems like “From Our Own Correspondent.”
CBC Radio Our neighbors to the north have feeds from all of the CBC stations from Halifax to Vancouver to Iqaluit. I particularly recommend the Vinyl Cafe. To call it “Canada’s Prairie Home Companion” is to downplay its uniqueness. This show is heard by over a million Canadians a week. By population, that’s the rough equivalent of 10 million Americans. Can you imagine ten million Americans listening to a radio show every week?
KSER Radio
This community radio station deserves special mention. From eclectic music in The Sunlit Room every weekday to music of the islands on The Coconut Wireless and Madman Moskowitz’ novelty collection on the weekends, they are the one public radio station I send money to anymore, because I feel they are so worth it. And of course they do Democracy Now! Special mention goes to Global Griot, a three-hour block of songs and stories every Sunday morning that was the direct inspiration for my Sunday Griot series.
KPIG Radio
Another won’t-be-programmed-by-some-suit-in-Indianapolis station for your dining and dancing pleasure. Unfortunately they require you to subscribe to RealAudio’s Realpass, which is a real pain . . . unless you know the secret. Which I have forgotten. 🙂 I’ll have to check to see whether they’re still available when I get home from work — to be honest it’s been a while since I listened in. Their site is a hoot, though, with ads for stuff like “pig shirts.”
KOZT Radio
Similar to KPIG in some ways, they have some very cool stuff, like Doctor Demento on Sunday nights and Dan Aykroyd hosting The House of Blues Radio Transmitter Hour every Friday night, in character as Elwood Blues.
The Mad Music Show
My friend Wayne is one of the biggest Doctor Demento freaks in the country. He even set up an archive of shows you could download and listen to. Unfortunately the people currently distributing the good Doctor don’t see things his way and enjoined him from making the shows available. So, Wayne set up his own podcast, available from the link above, and is paying the ASCAP fees to legally play the music. You can see what kind of music gets played on the page above, where in addition to the podcasts he shows the playlists for his podcasts.
Check out two other funny music shows, Freakin’ Funny Music and Manic Monday, both available at the “Features” link on Wayne’s page.
OK, that should get you going for a while. Anyone else have any online sources for stuff that’s actually worth listening to?
Since I’ve been back on the internet, I’ve been listening to Celtic traditional & contemporary on a station out of Dublin. I haven’t even listen to that long enough to get the names of people or groups, but I do like the music.
I’m going to check out those links. I think it’s time for me to start expermenting with music again. Thanks.
Hey, no prob. One of the shows I download every week for my commute is “Ceol na nGael” which airs on WFUV out of Fordham University, every Sunday at noon Eastern time. They also run The Thistle And The Shamrock on Saturdays at noon Eastern. I love listening to Fiona Ritchie’s voice. 🙂
You’re very welcome. Isn’t the Internet wonderful? And there are people of my acquaintance who are convinced it’s just a big cess pool with islands of worthwhile content, lying in wait to entrap the innocent. I could never understand that viewpoint.
It’s the same with me. My siblings have Internet connections at their home, but only use them for business or some emails. I think one brother looks up stuff for their vacations, but that’s about the extent.
I think if people only knew what was out there and that everybody wasn’t going to try to rip you off. A lot more people would be using it. Then again, I’m no expert, but my siblings know even less about computers than I do. So I guess there is a natural hesitation
I have been making too many serious comments today. It is good to stand still for once. And can anyone give a good excuse to purchase a new slick blackerry phone??
I’m one of those people who when I buy a great gadget, in otherwords expensive, I’m in heaven for a week and then the “now did I really need that blues” come in.

I don’t think I’ve ever had pomegranate, although I did read it was the latest rage in flavors. Looks good.
Supposed to be very good for you and full of antioxidants too!
Hey look! It’s a CodePinkarita 🙂
I’ll have THREE when I get home! 🙂
Cuz’ remember, no protesting, marching or raising hell when under the influence. 🙂
the old cafe if you haven’t already…
Instead of grenadine try this – I love it and can be used for iced tea – it’s like old time sugar water for that. I use it in place of grenadine now.

Madhava Agave Nectar Natural Sweetner Amber – USDA Organic. 🙂
That sounds better, but I’m not crazy about really sweet drinks, and I think this one would be fine without either…

I think I caught a troll at my blog! Even better, he can’t spell 😀
Tell us all! What did he do?
for starters, he drove up my site visit numbers today, that was nice. We’ll see if he sticks around. I’m in the mood to box. Speaking of boxing, any word from Boxer on the filibuster?
Is he the guy who said something nasty about liberals?
he’s gone for now. Funny how he could only channel Coulter and Hannity rather than give me some meat to fry. Oh well, maybe he’ll be back someday.
I just went over and read the troll. I would have loved for him to stay around to see more of the fun.
I can’t wait to give him nightmares for years when I explain, in detail, the invasion of the brown folk to his beloved country. 😉
Which page is he on? I didn’t see him on the main one.
I like your blog. Taupe. Did you know that is the preferred color interview pump for beauty pageant contestants?
to have logged off for the time being. You can find his parrot remarks at this post. I have a feeling he may be back. This could be continous fun! 🙂
I’ll have to check in over there more often, hate to miss all the fun…
Good job.
Peace
thanks for the compliments on the blog layout. katiebird helped me tweak some of the settings. Taupe? Who knew!
Yes I did! I remember that. Did he really boost your statistics? I never thought about the benefits of trolls before.

I was actually kidding about he benefits of trolls. People like that make me sick.
I love your blog, I don’t think I’ve commented yet, but I really like the way you think.
I love your blog too, it’s helped me stay focused on my diet and exercise plan.
anyone wanna play?
I think you caught a parody troll. The stupid spelling errors are really typical of those guys.
at least his name is half-way accurate, he’s proving to be a Savage.
According to Bilbo, you keep him talking until morning and then he turns into stone.
Oh, you have ANOTHER kind of troll?
According to Bilbo, you keep him talking until morning and then he turns into stone.
Oh, you have ANOTHER kind of troll?
oops, I’m home on the laptop. Sorry.
I put in a comment under NDD. This vicarious troll tweaking is a whole lot more fun when they aren’t in the same living room.
I should go back and see if I need to respond.
Only downside, ME, is that I’ll likely be hooked on another blog…
pulled out the illegal immigration card, now the fun can begin 🙂
Hey, no one’s an “illegal” alien there just out-of-bounds like when you play basketball.
Well how do you know he was lurking for 71 minutes? Is the NSA spying on you and MS. As for “illegal immigrant” send the cute troll to Paul Hackett’s site. At least those two will have something in common. (I know were suppose to be nice here, but I have already had a few to many caffinated diet pepsi.
out his SiteMeter stats and called my friends at the Agency for confirmation. (okay, only the first part of that was true)
Speaking of immigration, has everyone checked out Duke’s latest diary?
Another eclectic list:
Alan Parsons Project – Games People Play
Hobart Smith – Cindy
Karajan, Price et al – Helas, Jose! (Carmen, finale act 3)
The Cars – Shake It Up
Red Nichols and his Orchestra – Everybody Loves My Baby
Procol Harum – A Salty Dog
Van Morrison – And It Stoned Me
The Last Change Jug Band – King And Queen Blues
The Whites – Sandy Land
Donovan – The Mountain
I told you it was eclectic . . .
Alan Parsons Project and Carmen. And Donovan! That IS eclectic.
I need to figure out how to put my old albums on itunes. Cuz some stuff I never replaced in CD form and its still sitting there in vinyl.
I lost some of my old Alan Parson Projects albums. I might stop being so cheap and start looking.
I don’t have an iPod, I have iTunes on my laptop and I thought we were in the same age range (I’m 55). So now what’s your excuse? 🙂
Okay I’ll play
First concert: The Beatles (1964)
Best Concert: Janis Joplin
Least Remembered Concert: Mott the Hoople
Most Memorable Concert: Bette Midler (1973) — the audience was almost as much fun as she was
Last Concert: Michelle Shocked
I’ve never heard of Michelle Shocked, but the rest I wish I could have gone to those concerts.
Got to go and run an errand. Be back in a while.
I’ll play too.
First Concert: Yes (1976, I think, maybe 1977)
Best Concert: Springsteen 2000
Least Remembered Concert: Neil Young (1980?)
Most Memorable Concert: Elton John and Billy Joel – I was on the field, 18th row at Busch stadium. Very cool.
Last Concert: Billy Joel (2000)
I can’t believe I haven’t been to a concert since 2000 — maybe I’m forgetting one.
Yes I do. I didn’t know that. I will now definitely check that out now. Thanks.
(or turn the record over, but I’m really dating myself there…)
Hey, I just noticed you got the John Adams book. That’s more than a weekend’s worth of reading! But have a good time.
I wrote that before I went to the site for the Palm Tungsten E. That I would love to have.
It has a few limitations but for what it does it is very nice. The price is right for a Palm organizer. Of course I would love to have one with built-in WiFi and Bluetooth and a 50 gig hard drive, but like I said I’m savin’ my pennies these days.
I’m off to the chili cook-off for a bit…can someone please put up a new lounge if this one gets too big? Thanks!
Available on Delmark and highly recommended.
Enjoy
Peace
Here is the link to an article about the way the us military will war against the civil rights of Americans using the internet.

Sorry I can’t put more into this right at the moment.
CBC Radio
Our neighbors to the north have feeds from all of the CBC stations from Halifax to Vancouver to Iqaluit.
Fact is check out their Celtic music page.
That’s how I got into it is from Listening to Fiona Ritchie on NPR. I just went and bookmarked the Celtic music page. Thanks for the sites.
I’ll warn you, I’m a soundtrack collector… with eclectic tastes.
Okay, now it’s time for that drink… 🙂
I didn’t know Lea Salonga was the voice in Mulan.
Lea Salonga did the singing voice and Ming-Na did the speaking voice for the character of Mulan.
Interesting, Lea Salonga also did the singing voice for Princess Jasmine in Aladdin.
I have been making too many serious comments today. It is good to stand still for once. And can anyone give a good excuse to purchase a new slick blackerry phone??
You want to make them feel better about all their legal problems?
Reason enough..
I rest my case (see below).
In my experience there is no such thing as a bad excuse for someone who WANTS to buy a gadget. Once you make the decision, the excuses just follow.
I’m one of those people who when I buy a great gadget, in otherwords expensive, I’m in heaven for a week and then the “now did I really need that blues” come in.
Correct, but I have been running out of excuses on my own.
This place is a dump! Briliant new cafe opened.
