Hi Diane. Is it cold in SoCal tonight?
Cold for us and cold in my office area, I am using an electric heater and until the electrical work gets done, I can only use one heater, which can heat only one end of my place.
My bedroom stays pretty warm tho.
I think I’ll have a nice cup of warm cocoa. Sounds comforting and yummy on a cold night.
Glad the bar is open — I was afraid it would just be coffee. Imagine staying up all night tonight after the day it’s been.

The mood seems to fit the day. Big, bright and dark at the same time.
Very nice, but I’d take my ’70 John Deere 4020 and hook a log chain around that the post of that white sign, and yerk it out of there, unless it’s a Federal sign that says, “Don’t pee on the electric fence…” or some such.

I’ve had things get goofy when I’ve commented a lot or rated a lot. Try clearing your cache and see if that makes a difference.

I think it will, One time in the fall all my new comment counts got scrambled — I can’t remember what was going on. But the next day, it was fine again.

Somewhere in N CA I saw a very long landscape print, the guy said if was from a Cirkut camera, I guess some people are still using these antique cameras.
Yupyup… lots of us still like panoramics, field cameras, or just old hardware for the fun of it. I have a Kiev coming in end of the week, just to play, and I’m casting acquisitive eyes on an 8×10 Follmer-Schwing at my local shop…

at a folk music workshop I attended in the 90’s.
Every year’s photo included a small group of students appearing simultaneously on both ends of the group, having discovered that the camera must pan over a period of enough seconds for them to get up and run behind the camera & sit down at the far end just as the camera arrived.
Home from dinner — now about to go take off my makeup, brush my teeth and change into my PJs, then settle down to watch tonight’s “Countdown” on the DVR.
Was supposed to go to DMV tomorrow to renew my state ID (aka “non-driver’s license”), but decided to reschedule. California DMV is quite advanced; you can make an appointment to get your stuff done, instead of going and standing in the “cattle call” line. My new appointment is Friday at 10:10am — gives me more time tomorrow morning to get things cleaned up here, and possibly to go to the next county north of here (San Mateo County) to get a copy of my birth certificate that I need for the Canada portion of our Alaska cruise. Need to finish filling out the form for King County WA to get the spouse’s; he was born in Seattle, moved to California with his folks when he was 6 months old.
Hope everyone has a peaceful evening…we’ve lost a battle, but we’ll only lose the war if we lose heart…geez, that sounds trite enough for Bush to say…
does anybody have family members who collect “precious moments” figurines? i wish to sell mine.
The last person I knew (not a family member) who collected them worked in a small town bank… only $800K missing… she must have had quite a collection!

I’m just fine. I didn’t look at the 3 column layout though. I had a crazy work day yesterday and just didn’t have any energy left at the end of the day.
I’ve been working like crazy also — and really might not be able to think about it unti the weekend. So, please don’t feel pressure.

We were too tired post-dinner to do the small amount of grocery shopping we need to do, so spouse and I are going out early this morning (local market opens at 6am). We need celery sticks (I like the pre-cut ones — perfect size for grabbing and snacking), baby carrots (ditto), bananas and light orange juice, and I may pick up some ground meat to make chili tomorrow. Dinner tonight is at the in-laws, as we make our final plans for dad-in-law’s surgery/recovery; I’ll know tonight if my assistance is going to be required over there, and for how long, so it’s possible I may be absent from the Frog Pond for a bit (or not on quite as much).
Okay, time to finish getting dressed then make the bed while spouse is in shower…will probably see folks in the morning Cafe…
