Update [2006-2-2 14:3:12 by BooMan]: In a shocking upset, John Boehner has upset Roy Blunt and is the new Republican Majority Leader.
The GOP House causus is meeting to vote for a replacement for Tom DeLay as Majority Leader. The favorite is Roy Blunt of Missouri. But, he has apparently failed to win a majority on the first ballot. MSNBC gave a vote count of: Blunt 110,
John A. Boehner-(OH) 79, and John B. Shadegg-(AZ) 43. Shadegg is now dropped off of the second ballot. Boehner can still win if he can bring over enough of Shadegg’s supporters.
