(I’m trying to get caught up on all the diaries I didn’t get a chance to read today… whew)
I am doing well…actually, am about to head out on another trip on Thursday to Tokyo! I’m really pumped.
Gotta admit, if you’re going to catch up on today’s diaries, you’ll probably need a box or so of kleenex. They’re hard to read for all the right reasons, if you know what I mean.

Tokyo! Well, that sounds like an adventure. Is it business or pleasure (or both)? And is this the first visit? (Alas, no beach photos… :/)
There are some amazing people here…sometimes that gets lost, but it is never in more evidence than when it really counts.
The Tokyo trip is for pleasure…my best friend from high school is getting married there (his fiancee is from Japan). No beach pictures, but it will be totally different from anywhere else I’ve ever been, so I’m really excited to experience it.
And I’m sure that there will be some very photogenic places that I can share when I get back 🙂

She’s great, has to go get her shots tomorrow…thankfully, she loves her vet and hasn’t had a bad experience there. The only thing she doesn’t like is the scale. It’s one of those electronic jobs that have a big platform that kinda moves back and forth…it spooks he so I have to get on it with her and then weigh myself and do the math…two birds with one stone, so to speak…:{)

ps: phototblog has bogged down due to RL issues that keep getting in the way. I may, however, be looking at an extended period where I can focus on it exclusively…like it or not.

Wishing I was getting out of the country for awhile, I’m envious. May have to call one of my Mexican house clients and see if I can get the keys for a week…in serious need of a beach and some solitude.

A beach and some solitude are necessary to keep me sane. At least once a year, if not twice 🙂 I highly recommend it.
I’m not looking forward to the flight either…I’m going to really have to game my sleep schedule to make it tolerable for the few days I’m over there.

I just spoke with the Godfather and truth is always stranger than fiction. Tonight he phoned and said that his daughter Kat is stepping out into a new jobosphere. My Godsister Kat is getting a trial run on Sunday at a new club called Wild Spirits in NYC. It is in the old Hogs and Heffers location. The Godfather is a little nervous about all of this and I just went and checked out the Wild Spirits website and just about spitup on myself, ummmm Holy naked Cows! I think that Kat is going to make a smashup big apple bartender extraordinaire. Kat has been a little lost earlier in this life, something that the Godfather feels sort of guilty for. Her dad is a great dad but he is gay and he tried to be straight. He tried really hard and he got married and had a daughter that he loves and everything. He even married a real Countess…..not kidding, Kat’s mom does have a real European aristocracy title and she married a Jewish gay guy (I love America, it’s never boring around here). Anyhow Kat’s dad (the Godfather) fears that all that mess up wasn’t the healthiest thing that could have happened to Kat. I honestly can’t think of any better credentials for a kick ass NYC bartender to have can you? Sunday is completely Kat’s show and it starts at 8pm and ends at 4am. She’ll either throw one hell of a party and have a bartending gig there because she kicked ass or she will um er not be currently employed I suppose. She is doing a Punk theme, there will be door prizes and it is $8.00 to get in. Maybe we can do some recruiting of nonvoters there….my take on some the photos at the website is that lots of the nonvoting block look to be hanging out there!

As long as he loved her he did all he could. So he was confused- lol… Having a gay father is a great asset for anyone!!!! I wish her luck and I am sure she will do fine.
Well, I am the precinct delegate and go to the county convention with 15 votes at my disposal and will automatically be a delegate to the state convention. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HAW!!!!
Hey, good goin’ on that. We might have to do blog reporting from our state conventions.
We had ten people at our district meeting, no problems getting to go to the ND state convention.
In the past I’ve walked in on the day of the state convention and got in, ‘course the district chair has to sign off on it, but when there’s an empty seat, you can get in.
Well, anyone who shows up the day of the county convention will still have to prove the have voted in the primary or they can be challenged. I plan to have the list with me as we are fighting an inside take over of the county party by repugnants who are trying to stall or kill the party. I am hoping I will have my laptop by the time the state convention happens in June and I will be doing live blogging from the convention.
I am also going to have my name put forward to be on the resolution committee for the state convention. LOL I have an agenda!!! I want the Democratic Party back as The Democratic Party and not the Repugnant soft party it has been in the last few years.
Everybody here knows almost everyone else at these things, and if they don’t all they do is make a call or two, if there’s any doubt of which side a person has been voting on.

I’ve been trying to keep up on the diaries, but they’re breaking my heart.
At Tower Records/Books today, I saw Michael “Wiener” Savage’s latest screed, Liberalism is a Mental Disorder, is out in paperback. And I look at such strong souls as DJ, and MT, and SallyCat, and Sherm, and Scribe (no relation, unfortunately)…not to mention our men in arms (and love), such as ManEE, and the iPig, and Super, and DTF, and so many more I could list if my fingers would hold up. Would he, or Ann Coulter, or Bill O’Reilly, or Michelle Malkin be able to live through the horrors that these brave women and men have faced, and remain conservatives? Or would they even be able to remain sane? It’s doubtful on both counts. “Mental disorder”? Would that more of our fellow Americans, not to mention our journalists and governmental representatives, be so “disordered”!!!
Tomorrow the spouse leaves at 6:30 instead of 8:30, for a retraining day before he gets back on the road on Thursday. And I plan to be up early too, to try to capture in fiction what is heartbreaking in fact.

I understand the anger and frustration. I think we can and must change things and we will. Keep up the struggle, ask for hugs when needed, and now we love ya right back!!!!
Here’s a design idea to run by you — was just reading BooMan’s front-pager (the one with the link to Georgia10’s diary at the Orange Empire), and was thinking of an idea about non-voters. Something like:
Non-Voting = Silence
Silence = Death
________
Non-Voting = Death
Now, I know the “Silence = Death” has been the slogan of the AIDS awareness movements, so it might need to be modified…but it’s something that just popped in my mind…maybe it’s just a sign I need to get some sleep…
I’ll think of something about voting and do it. Something besides just VOTE. LOL I actually ahd that conversation with the election judges from both parties because yet again turn out was really low.
Evening, all. Just wanted to drop in to say that I haven’t written much in the past few days, mostly because I don’t have adequate words to respond to these amazing diaries. To those that have written them, I’ll just send thanks for opening your hearts so that those of us that can never really understand, can at least understand a little better.
