vote to censure Bill Clinton for lying about a blow job, but can’t bring yourselves to do the same to George Bush for illegal wiretapping–let alone lying us into an unnecessary war?”
He has a few other choice comments there, as well.
That’s a damn fine question. Bet none of the twenty answer.
Yeah, but it’s nice to have out there, sitting on the table, isn’t it?
Actually it was a lot of fun calling and asking them if they did. I guess they are feeling pretty embarassed about it. Some answered: We have no comments at this time. Thanks for the tip Howie!!
I always respected Clinton’s answer when he was asked why he did that. He said, ‘because I could’ in a tone of objective honesty and a twinge of regret.
There’s always the tired old ‘because they are in on it’ refrain. Of course, it’s impossible to prove, but it sure would go a long way toward explaining why they can’t adequately pursue the pres. when he’s obviously done wrong. They even tried to slap down Feinstein. What’s up with that? Sure smells fishy.
They all have wallets to line.. if we look into how they have been getting their money i’m sure we’ll get our answers.
If I’m not mistaken, these names were co-sponsors of the resolution, but it never saw an actual vote. So they never voted for this – not that it’s any consolation.
Here’s the sickening history of this.
They all voted against Clinton because they feared the right wing crusade. Being the big Clinton fan that I am, I am amazed on almost a daily basis about the things other politicians and the media let Bush get away with that they would have nailed Clinton for.
For Clinton, one personal scandal dominated a successful administration
Yet for Bush, a ton of real scandles just roll off a failed administration
a scandal of which he was not found guilty of perjury. let’s not forget that too.
