The Froggy Bottom Cafe cheerleaders have never had a practice but everything we need is in our Pink Megaphone Purse. Wasn’t Janet great on the radio?
How have I survived lo these 39 years without a pink megaphone purse?
She was good, wasn’t she? I was surprised at how calm and reasonable she sounded. I guess with all of the !!!!!! and {{{{{}}}}}} she writes with I was expecting her to be jumping up and down with excitement and swearing up a storm.
I thought she was terrific. I listened this morning on Omir’s link.
It was radio — she could have been jumping up and down until she decided to talk 🙂 We’ll have to ask her.

Awww thanks SallyCat! My dear friend Mrs. Ski was all “you were talking nice and slow!!!” 🙂 LIke, “Is that Janet??? OMG that IS Janet” LOL Wayne said that most aren’t used to hearing me “speak”. They hear me talk alllllll the time LOL but not “speak”.

I am just so darn happy today! I finally talked the hubby into signing up. Finally! Now to get him to introduce himself in the Cafe. 😉
He MUST tell us how he came up with his name. It’s great. Tell him to watch for a crowd and then barge right in, put his bunny slippers up on the table and call for a blue plate special. He’ll fit right in.
Well honestly it was one of those random thoughts that popped in my head. I get all sorts of little off the wall ideas every now and then for some reason ‘Bunny Slippers of Cthulu’ kinda stuck in there and I couldn’t find a way to use in anything. Well that and I found it a hilarious visual of the ‘Dark Lord Cthulu’ shuffling around his dimension in some pink bunny slippers and a cup of coffee in his hand. I’m a little quirky like that

I’ve been doing some raking and yard cleanup. And I took a nap.
My sister came by earlier and while she was here I made her help me move some things.
Raking and yard cleanup? I just think about it and get tired.
My sister never leaves her living room the same for long. Sometimes from week to week she moves it around. I’ve learned when she gets into a moving frenzy, to stay away. 🙂
My sister moved back to St. Louis last August so she still owes me a lot of unpacking/moving help.

Good morning all, from mythmother and her lovely cat! Shadow has been such a great companion throughout this lonely misadventure in beautiful Monterey! (Right now she’s sitting in a sun spot, giving herself a bath.) Basically she’s been pretty happy here, except when I’m ranting and foaming at the mouth about the latest aberration at work, then she runs and hides under the bed.
MM if I didn’t know better I’d say that my cat.

As I said last night in the cafe, it was our first time speaking out with each other, but I think we did well. They want us back. I think we had good energy. I reallyl adore her and we both have alot of the same goals and ideas. CodePink is to be FUN and OUT THERE. And we have some upcoming ideas to do just that.
A man from the VFP escorted me home after their friday romp. He also agreed that new blood would do some good.
I think Katie wants me to help out with publicity and press stuff. whoot! 🙂

Ours needs some revamping. Many are relying on a few.. a very few. My thing is if a person isn’t their sweating along with – then you really can’t bitch when a decision went forward. Marching is the easy part, but not the only part. The same names post back to her emails of “can someone do … ?”
I about died when I realized Katie was the only one doing the publicity, interview, press releases.

I did blow it in the start. Wasn’t loud enough but my phones weren’t plugged in and people were waving their arms and stuff. I finally find where the phones were plugged in. Right into the table and they don’t fit in very snug. But once I could “hear” I could “talk”.
I then scootched away from that plug and ended up right next to Katie 🙂

This is a good first step. Get some radio experience locally, then next thing you know you’ll be on Thom Hartmann and from there to Al Franken and Randi Rhodes, and finally you’ll have to send me tickets to come see you speak at President Feingold’s inaugural.

That is just lovely!! One of my ideas was about pink flowers. Flower wreaths being presented to certain media/publicity people here as a way of “covering them” since we can’t wait around for them to cover us. 🙂

There is a message you carry so well and so clear that everybody can hear….it is the heartbeat of our children. We all hear it because we were all children, but you sing it so well. Please keep singing Janet….please keep telling them that while they play all of these “games” in their own heads the children are hurting and their futures are traded for beads and bottle caps…..and some of them even die while they play all those games in their own little “adult” heads.

What a SHOCK! Duke won.
What the heck do we do, he does have teeth and it is a HE….he has a lot of HE. His body is about three inches long. The nextdoor neighbors cats were trying to eat him…maybe he fell out of his nest or had some help, and my husband heard it screaming while the cats were trying to dig it out the ivy it was hiding in (Cabingirl just fell out of her chair laughing her ass off cuz she knows that my nextdoor neighbor has claimed that my dogs are vicious to her cats and it has gotten so stupid we are going to go to court over it! I think I’m gonna call the police because her cats are vicious to the squirrels! Put down your donuts boys!) We have him in a small animal cage and dug out some old mouse food we had from when my daughter failed to be a pet owner last year. He is wrapped up in a towel, it was the only way he would allow my husband to let him out of his hand without totally freaking out. He seems to be very traumatized though right now. I know nothing about squirrels so if you have been through this drill and have info to share please do. Nobody got it’s teeth into him….he looks to be physically okay.
You want to save a squirrel? You’ve got to be kidding.
