Hands down the Best Blog Community! And partial as I am, Best New Blog too!
Watch the spaces in the email address…it was still early here on the left coast when I emailed…and I almost missed them.
Me too! I was wondering WTF? Then I figured it out!
Hmm, still no category for best-dressed blogger.
or best pantsuit analyzing blogger…
After 3 tries, I finally got my vote for BT to post over there… yippee. I’ll go back later and vote for best new blog, or just email as BooMan suggests. Glad BT wasn’t nominated in the ‘best blog’ category, cuz I had to give the nod to Carpetbagger Report on that one. But given the competition, there are a lot of winners nominated! All (well mostly…) deserving of recognition.
I just emailed, as it was a lot easier, as BooMan suggested.
We’ve been getting slammed all day, not due to lack of bandwidth, but pressure on the server (thousands of instances of invoking Perl on our measely CPUs.) Things should get easier and less flakey as the voting period progresses.
Congrats on your nominations.
Please also remember to vote for RubDMC’s Iraw War Grief Daily Witness series !!!
Thanks for the reminder or I would have forgotten it!
She’s talking about the protests, Clarke calling Bush a war criminal, and soon to talk about the Iraqi babies…
sheeeet she has the reporter that broke the store on it right now!!!
The Marines say a bombed killed them – but they are dead with bullet holes and the inside of their homes had bullet holes.
This is Viet Nam attrocities all over again…
9 yr old female witness says that after the roadside bomb that some say caused the Marines to engage in a revenge rampage. She is one of the survivors, her brother was wounded.
4 houses in all in Haditha (sp) were ran into, people rounded up in the night clothes and put in rooms and were shot dead.
A young journalist has a tape of the remaining houses that have the bullet holes on the INSIDE of the house – not on the outside. They say the Marines went INSIDE, rounded up the families including CHILDREN and shot them in revenge to one of their own being killed by a roadside bomb.
This was in Novemeber – NOT the recent one on 15th of March in Isahiqi.
Now talking of that one..
This is only the beginning. When some returned Iraq War veteran with PTSD takes an AK47 and starts mowing down shoppers at the local mall ’cause he thinks there’s a bomb under his car, we’ll know the chickens have come home to roost.
How many have served over there so far? Is it half a million yet?
Fuck you George Bush.
It’s time to honor Bush with a new title:
The Slaughter of Haditha
The article talks about an ‘alleged’ massacre. I wonder where they got ‘alleged’ from.
Especially since the last sentence of the article is
The video did not show any bullet holes on the outside of the houses–holes that might support the military report of a gun battle.
I was about to have a hissy-fit over have my posts being rejected by Wampum’s server. Came over here to find an open thread in which to complain and voila! Problem solved.
Best. Blog. Community. Ever. If Booman Tribune doesn’t win in that category or Best New Blog, I’m gonna demand a re-count.
FBI: You have’t got mail
CNN Link
My question would be this: Can’t they just go to Yahoo and get free e-mail like I did? Oh, but then Cheney and Halliburton wouldn’t receive any profit and we couldn’t have an arm of government not profitable to Dick.
And we are supposed to believe that email accounts would have prevented 911.
But, on another note, it would be hilarious if they followed your suggestion re: yahoo accounts and those accounts were demanded by the Justice Department!!!
Google isn’t nearly as cooperative with NSA as Yahoo….
…AND maybe FBI guys don’t want NSA reading their email either!
It;s just a ploy…whine, we can;t even get email=give us more $$. Agencies have to create ‘dire need’ all the time. Not saying whether a particular agency needsmore $ or not but you know it’s spring when this stuff starts. Spring and summer is when budgets get done.
most definitely voted for all available categories. this place rocks.
You rock too, Albert! Great diary you posted earlier. Good luck with that gargantuan task you’ve taken on.
I voted, where’s my little sticker?
Maybe delete the spaces around the @ on the email address. Took me a couple times before I figured that out 🙂
