Actually, it kept going off for a minute or so and then coming back on so we just gave up and shut all the puters down. But the power never went off permanently. And I decided the waning power was an omen and went to bed.
Makes sense because the computer is on all the time and it has a much better memory than me so it’s much better at making sure that the dogs get their heart worm pills and I get to the dentist.
I still have hopes for my computer that crashed in December. It’s got to much stuff on it I lost. I tried the new battery, but didn’t work. Sooner or later I’ll get the new cables.
Morning all!!!! Andi I am glad to hear it was mainly noise and that you are okay. I hope everyone had a fabulous nights sleep and is ready for a wonderful Monday. LOL Mine will be hectic as always. I have a full days work and then a meeting about the Don’t ask, Don’t Tell crap. Here is the designs I will be wearing to the meeting.
Good morning, everyone. I just wanted to drop by for a short note today to let anyone who knows where I live, we are all fine here at my house. We have a 11 deaths here last night from the tornadoes. Have gotten my power back about an hour ago. The damage is just horrible. They are saying more deaths are suspected. I just wanted those in TN and surrounding areas know I am ok. Gotta get ready for work now. Stay well and safe…hugs.
I’ve been in the shadows these days, and not commenting much. But I can only do that for so long and then I get itchy to yak. I missed everyone. Besides, the horses never get my jokes and the cats just don’t care.
They feel like little mink fur balls, so cute. All 26 of them! Yes, my husband is insane; I only wanted four. And, he used the camera last and hid the connector cable so I won’t be able to tranfer images until he comes home this evening and unearths the cable.
The post office called at 6:30am to tell us they had arrived. When I walked in, I could hear them chirping frantically. I had a total maternal heart-tug reaction driving home listening to their panicked cries. When I opened the box to tranfer them to their bin, they fell silent and huddled together fearfully.
One by one, I picked them up, stroked their heads and introduced them to the waterer and feeder. Now they are hopping about, jumping over each other to take turns eating and drinking.
One of them is NOT like the others. We got 7 silver laced Wyandottes, 10 Partridge Rocks and 8 Araucanas. Plus, because we ordered more than the minimum 24 birds, McMurray threw in a surprise “Rare Exotic Chick.” It’s a head taller than the others and has fluffy itsey feathers on its legs. So it could be one of the Cochin varieties or maybe a big Buff Brahma because it’s mainly cream-colored with a black diamond shape on its back.
I don’t think I’m going to get anything done today. All I want to do is watch them and pet them.
Hope everybody had a nice night. Ours was a bit noisy but ultimately a bunch of sound and fury signifying nothing (well, not too much).
Morning Andi. We were worried about ya’ll last night.
Everything OK.
Everything fine here (well, as far as I can tell in the dark). The worst storms went to the south and north of us.
Glad to hear ya’ll are OK.
I figured your electricity went out last night.
Actually, it kept going off for a minute or so and then coming back on so we just gave up and shut all the puters down. But the power never went off permanently. And I decided the waning power was an omen and went to bed.
well hopefully you got a good nights sleep at least.
Yes I did. I like sleeping to storms.
And I like your designs, especially the one of the white t-shirt.
Me too until Bette tries to crawl through my spine. LOL
Good idea.
Aren’t you up kind of early this morning?
Apparently my body has already adjusted to DST because I woke up around 5 which is when I generally wake up.
I’m still kind of mixed up. I still haven’t set my room clock, and I hardly look at my computer clock.
So sometimes I know it’s later and most of the time I think it’s earlier.
If it goes like the last time change, I’ll get around to the clock in a couple of weeks.
As long as the computer is right, I’m okay because I set alarms for all my appointments on it.
Makes sense since your work is mostly through your computer.
Makes sense because the computer is on all the time and it has a much better memory than me so it’s much better at making sure that the dogs get their heart worm pills and I get to the dentist.

We’ve got a little bit of a thunderstorm coming through, so I’m shutting down for awhile.
I’ll check back later.
well I guess keeping track of naps is not as important as it once was. LOL
Naps are nothing to be tracked. They are to be experienced with the utmost proclivity.
When you can get them. LOL Yesterday was too funny.
Last night was funny. I outlasted Mary on staying up.

Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell
I also added several new designs to Left of the Rainbow. I started a pink Triangle section.

Morning Refinish.
Morning!!!!!
Sounds like you have a busy day as usual.
LOL I don’t know any other way to live it seems. I enjoy it but this week will be a different meeting everyday except one I think.
That sounds good. Before I took up the life of Sloughful Slacking I looked forward to busy days.
Time to shower and head out for my day. You folks have a wonderful day and I will check in if I have time at work.
Have a good day Refinish.
Enjoy your day.
Good to hear that things were okay for you last night Andi. Looks like a lot of damage to the midwest region d/t storms.
We’re fine here. A lot of places to the north of us got substantial damage but nothing serious or deadly, thankfully.

We had a lot of storms here but we were much luckier than you guys with no serious injuries or deaths.
Those were dangerous storms. I’m sorry so many people died where you are. But I’m glad you’re safe.
And I’m glad you’re safe Andi.
Now off to work.
When I heard on the news the morning about the location and degree of the storm, I was thinking of you! {{Brenda}}}
I’m very glad that you escaped the storms, Brenda. You too, Andi.
When I turned on the news this morning you were the first person I thought of. It’s good to know you’re OK.
I’ve been in the shadows these days, and not commenting much. But I can only do that for so long and then I get itchy to yak. I missed everyone. Besides, the horses never get my jokes and the cats just don’t care.
Morning Nag. How have you been doing?
Mornin’, Family Man. I’ve been just fine, thanks. I do get lonesome for the cafe and all the friendly faces.
Well I know horses and cats are a great comfort, but they can’t talk back.
Plus they don’t have the unbridled humor you find here in the cafe.

Congrats sjct. We want pictures!
That’s cool! It’s nice that you can transfer that mothering instinct of your onto the new babies.
New Cafe open! Come on over.
