Happy Monday to all!!!!! I have been working on my web sites and will have the first one up probably tomorrow. It is not an easy thing to do. LOL As I get more involved with the web sites in the inital months I might be a round less.:( It all depends on how fast I can learn this stuff and get better at it.
I will!!! I am working on them as fast as I can and will actually linking to stories in the news and on my favorite blogs for additional content. The front page will call for constant updating but I think I can handle it as it is just cut and paste to update the headlines section. I also have to have time to do my designs which I have been neglecting this last week or so.
Those are words I’ve always lived by. One of the reasons I have to make a trip to the store today. The other one is a new mouse. This touch pad on my laptop is driving me crazy.
I’m coming to the point I almost wished I had bought a regular computer with a flat screen. However, once I get my router and can move my computer around the house, I’ll be able to maybe get some of the family interested in the pond.
Probably the only person that would come to the pond would be my Mom. She a radical and hates the current administration. Then again, when Olivia starts talking about mud wrestling, I don’t know if I would want her in the cafe.
Time for me to “SS&S”. I will try and check in from work if I can today. I hope all the little froggies have a great day!!!!! Remember everyday you wake up is a good day as long as FamilyMan is not working on your ac. LOL
Well, now that I’ve had some coffee and I’m listening to a stream of a fondly remembered Grateful Dead show, my work day has improved dramatically. Click the Hi-fi link on that page if you want to hear it too…
I don’t believe that for a second. We would all be gabbing away. And if all else failed we could all have laptops available to type to each other across the room.
LOL…my husband and I sometimes do that because we met online. He’ll be downstairs on the laptop and I’m upstairs in the office. Sometimes we fight that way – much quieter and more civilized.
I wish my x and I had argued that way. But then I think I would have gotten tired of reading 15 pages of her typing with me getting in one word. Plus I couldn’t use the off button.
That made me laugh, it’s so typical. Women are soooo wordy sometimes and men just give the monosyllabic grunts and nods. And I can type about 130 words a minutes, so Mr. Nature is doomed.
Just to be serious here for a moment (I promise it won’t last), I think all our normal reticence would be overwhelmed by our happiness at getting to actually be with people we like so much.
Most probably, but nothing in the works yet. I want to look at the Indians schedule and work in a game while I’m there. I’m very flexible due to the fact that I don’t work for a living and basically just loll around doing nothing.
I’d probably fly into wherever we decided to meet up, stay overnight at a hotel and then fly on to Cleveland. Unless that was too expensive then I’d fly into Cleveland and rent a car and drive down but that wouldn’t be my first choice.
I didn’t know you went to Harper’s Ferry. I remember seeing pictures from mrsbrown or Carnacki. mrsbrown lives about 10 mintues from here but we’ve never met.
It was a great time…like a reunion of people who had never met in person. Brother Feldspar was there too, among others.
Carnacki and Co are planning another Memorial Day weekend get-together for this year, I think in Baltimore this time (we’re pushing for Fell’s Point). You should come up for that if you can.
Morning Olivia. I’m running out of adjectives for your flowers. Beautiful, magnificent, I don’t know. I’ll need to pull out some books to find new ones.
You keep trying to get me to host on Mondays. I see a plan in the works.
I’ll tell you what. If I can get into town to get another mouse and get my computer back to normal, then I just might later on this year sometimes. Hah.
No if you really don’t feel like it, let me get the mouse and I’ll be happy to later on today.
Unlike what Andi said last night, I’m still a nice, kind gentleman.
Rise and shine? Nah, me neither.
Morning Miss Andi!!!!!

Good morning, refinish.
As you get each website up, I hope you’ll stop by and post a link to them. I’m sure that we’re all interested in seeing your work.
I will!!! I am working on them as fast as I can and will actually linking to stories in the news and on my favorite blogs for additional content. The front page will call for constant updating but I think I can handle it as it is just cut and paste to update the headlines section. Good Morning All. Where ya’ll been? Sleeping late again I see.
Morning FamilyMan!!! If sleeping till 4 am is sleeping late I am quilty. LOL
Well I’ll give you a break on this one.
Sounds like you’ve got another busy day planed.
Thanks!!!! LOL
So did you sleep on the couch last night or had the bedroom dried out?
Couch. It’s actually more comfortable than my bed, and at the moment it doesn’t squish when I sit on it.
The way things are going though, I’m expecting something to happen to that also.
Banish that creeping doubt and negativity. You are the master of your coping saw, you are the captain of your claw hammer!
Since you put it that way, I think I’ll start building that house I always wanted.
It’s amazing what you can do with cardboard and ductape.
So it’s been almost 45 minutes. It is done yet? Can we see a picture?
These things take time. As any good home builder know, you don’t rush perfection. Plus I ran out of ductape.
When Jim and I built our house, we got the don’t rush part but we completely missed the perfection aspect.
Why do you think I’ve never built my dream house yet. I have to go through each nail in the bin to make sure it’s perfect.
I guess the way I’m going, I’ll be picking out wood in the next decade.
It’s crucial that you never run out of ductape or WD-40 if you’re a homeowner.
If something is supposed to move but doesn’t – use WD-40.
If it’s not supposed to move but does – use ductape.
Those are words I’ve always lived by. One of the reasons I have to make a trip to the store today. The other one is a new mouse. This touch pad on my laptop is driving me crazy.
Ah yes, those heady 13 days around Christmas when I had a laptop, I remember them well. I hate the touchpad too.
I’m coming to the point I almost wished I had bought a regular computer with a flat screen. However, once I get my router and can move my computer around the house, I’ll be able to maybe get some of the family interested in the pond.
I’m more than happy not to have any of my family members at the pond. Then where would I go to complain about them?
It’s bad enough having to behave yourself IRL; I’m not giving up my virtual freedom to misbehave.
Probably the only person that would come to the pond would be my Mom. She a radical and hates the current administration. Then again, when Olivia starts talking about mud wrestling, I don’t know if I would want her in the cafe.
And I couldn’t make any more jokes about your bed or Viagra.
Oh how I regret that whole incident.
OK, ya’ll win. 😉
I would suggest a new mattress. By the time that one dries out, the couch will ahve a permanet impression and your back will never be the same. LOL
You’ve got a point, but just going to buy ductape and a new mouse are big investments for me. So I’ll see how it goes.

You just had to bring that up didn’t ya.
One day I’ll learn to fix something right. Don’t know what, but one day I will. 😉
The kids are off school this week, so I get to sleep till 7 every day this week…woo-hoo!
Too bad I still have to work.
One out of two isn’t bad. 😉

The color of that mum is so delicate – I love it. Good morning, Olivia, you introvert.
Are you one of the I people? 😉
We’re not necessarily introverted (wanna keep fighting about whether you are) but I’d say that a significant majority of the FGC denizens are asocial.
And not going to talk about mud. Ever. Nothing ever dies in the cafe! 😉
I’m sorry Olivia, I won’t bring up mud ever again.
But I have heard about jello wrestling. 😉
Spoilsport.
I forgot — Good morning!
I’ve tried to hide it, but yes, I am a big I. It’s funny that we all are, but I guess when you think about it it makes sense.
Do you think that we’d all just sit quiet-like if we had a get together a la the West Coast meet-up group?
We’d all sit around eyeing each other until we figured it was worth the effort to speak.

I did learn never to use the term ‘yes dear’. 🙁
Just to be serious here for a moment (I promise it won’t last), I think all our normal reticence would be overwhelmed by our happiness at getting to actually be with people we like so much.
I do too. And when I’m uncomfortable I can’t shut up. So I might be a blabbermouth.
We should plan something, maybe around that hotbed of liberal partying, Cincinnati.
Are you planning a trip home this summer?
Most probably, but nothing in the works yet. I want to look at the Indians schedule and work in a game while I’m there. I’m very flexible due to the fact that I don’t work for a living and basically just loll around doing nothing.
Since Indy is going to be moving just south of Dayton, instead of Cincy, we could meet there instead.
Would you be flying in to Cleveland and then borrowing a car and driving down or would you be driving up from Raleigh?
Yes. Or no. I don’t know?
I’d probably fly into wherever we decided to meet up, stay overnight at a hotel and then fly on to Cleveland. Unless that was too expensive then I’d fly into Cleveland and rent a car and drive down but that wouldn’t be my first choice.
And didn’t you mention one of your offspring might be moving to Philly? (See, we never forget anything around here, do we?)
Well, he decided it’s too expensive. I’m trying to put the full court press on him to move down here.
I agree with Andi. We already know each other, but just haven’t met.
From my experience at Harpers Ferry and the march in DC, AndiF is right. Of course, it’s hard to shut me up anyway…
And SN, I thought we were getting together at the beach, not CinCinn? Much more fun at the beach. 🙂
I’m up for multiple episodes of fun. You know how we are.
I didn’t know you went to Harper’s Ferry. I remember seeing pictures from mrsbrown or Carnacki. mrsbrown lives about 10 mintues from here but we’ve never met.

How are you today?
You sound more cheerful this morning than I am, FM. Maybe you should host today. 🙂
You keep trying to get me to host on Mondays. I see a plan in the works.
I’ll tell you what. If I can get into town to get another mouse and get my computer back to normal, then I just might later on this year sometimes. Hah.

Unlike what Andi said last night, I’m still a nice, kind gentleman.
We like grumpy hosts — look how popular maryb is.
No further complications?
Nope no complications. Just a wierd dream about introverted people mud wrestling.
Who was in it?
Can’t really say. Nobody was talking.
Well I’ve got to get ready so I can go into the city and get a new mouse and plenty of ductape.
I’ll see ya’ll later.
Monday cafe now open!
