I saw that the first time as a teenager at a drive in movie. Well I saw part of it. Had to wait years later to see all of it.

Genitalia seems to be the main focus of Christianity these days.
We all know how those that follow the path of bush are, but to throw stuff like that at a 15 y.o. girl is truly sick.
My parents always said that they thought born-agains were using religion to hide some very sick perversions. More and more, it looks like maybe they weren’t too far off the mark there.
I’m painting with a pretty wide brush here, but I think people like that are all around. Some will use religion, politics, commerce, etc to hide behind.
I’ve always thought that if something happened and we descended into another dark age, you would see a lot of the so called pillars of the community turn into animals.

So just a couple evenings ago, as we sat out back looking at the Goose Family frolicking beside the placid pond, listening to baby bluebirds chirping under the eave of the barn, I admitted to Hubby, “I like it here.”
Hey, we finished the floor and have moved into the master bedroom replete with our brand new “memory foam mattress” (see below). We’ve got a great garden built and are now eating produce from it. I’m still isolated from progressive, artistic folks. The nearest Barnes & Noble is still 35 miles away. But, it’s peaceful in the country and I do like that.
So yesterday Hubby’s company offers him the option of returning to Lynchburg. We laughed bitterly. Yeah, right, let’s pack up again, move back into an apartment, wait for this house to sell, go thru the whole fuckin’ transition thing again. Um, NO!
About the mattress: I must tell everyone about Bragada. The “famous” brand, Tempurpedic, sells for $1800+ in king-size. But, you can have the same product for a mere $658, via the internet, delivered to your door, shipping included and free pillows thrown in! It’s like sleeping on a cloud. If you have fibro myalga or back problems, this bed is a friggin’ blessing.
And, yes, if you do decide to get one of these because I told you about it, please let know so I can send you my full name; they’ll send me $100 for every referral. har. But, that’s not why I’m sharing this discovery… Everyone should sleep as well as I did last night even with my wounded back muscles.

Wayne came home. Looked at the Pest Control Report which is a published document that went to the county and the Buyers. 6K in damage it says. But $3,5K of it is for a back deck they say has termite and fungus damage… The deck was part of our equity loan and was repaired… THREE MONTHS AGO. They may have seen the sawdust, drilled wood spirals… as “damageg”.
But.. here’s the corrupt part of it all aside from the apparent conflict of interest of the inspector also being the contractor: We can’t even get another inspection because the county says that the company has to be paid to oversea all repairs regardless of who does them.
So Wayne will call them tomorrow and ask for proof of damage to a BRAND NEW DECK. They want us to repair what was already remodeled… it’s bullshit.
Our realtor down there is worthless. But spoke to the Broker whom we do like… and he says this is indeed corrupt and… “this is Lake County, that’s how business is done”. This is simply “bend over and grease the palms”.
And it’s legal. But this is the county who had more votes for Bush than were registered.
You see why we got the fuck away from that shithole county? Lake County, California.
$6K so we can make escrow and get this chain off our backs… I can’t fight all the fights. I just can’t.
Good Morning from the great state of Tennessee. It is a gloomy am here with rain most of the night and into this morning. It is not good for the arthritis either!
Hope all is well for each of you today. I will probably have to go into work later on. Otherwise, nothing is new around my normal routine house. The cats got me up this morning by walking all over me. Geez, how I hate to have them do that to me! Don’t they know that all they have to do is meow at me to get my attention!!!!! Once my feet was on the floor, it was like a mad dash to the food bowl, again. It is funny to see them lined up in front of their repective bowl….waiting!!! Just looking at me as to say now when are we gonna get our food…I make my coffee first, just to see them look at me with that look in the eyes and on their faces…I just have to do this, this way, to get my kick out of them…they know this too…they just love me to talk to them and tell them to hold on and I will be right there for them…then do the coffee…They are so patient with me…When they get their food the nibble at it and then head off for their nap afterwards…It is normal routine for them..
Anyhow, Love the picture this morning. It is so refreshing to see such loveliness and I so enjoy your pictures…
Have got a day off this Saturday!!!! Can you believe this after 5 months of on call 24/7??!! I signed in blood that I would be back to retake my call just for 24 hours off….
My son is getting married and my daughter and I are giving a bridal shower for the new bride. Ought to be lots of fun….;o) Has anyone got any funny things to do to or for her to make things real fun? It is being held at a resturant and would love to do something to make it a real memory for her. She is really a sweetie pie.

I’m just glad I found a gift we’ll both enjoy, and I don’t have to dust, polish, or figure out where the hell to put it…got the idea from skimming through one of my latest book purchases, Don Aslett’s For Packrats Only: How to Clean Up, Clear Out and Dejunk Your Life Forever. (I do disagree with him strongly on bookcases though — he believes that too many bookcases just encourage people to buy/keep too many books. Oh, like that’s a bad thing… 😉 )
I’m getting settled in at the office and will put a new cafe up after this one fills up in abit. In the meantime, come over for cheesecake and champagne!
