Hope everybody has a pleasant Sunday ahead.
(yes, I’m still awake) Gotta luv insomnia. Howz ur weekend?
I think the last time you did this I ordered you to bed and it worked:
Manny, go to sleeep!
(you know it’s working, give in, go to bed)
this bout of sleeplessness is incurable for the moment. I’m working on a long screed of bloviation that requires my attention. No worries though, these musings will remain in the deep recesses of my personal diary (not of the BT variety).
Better get some rest, or the burbling goldfishies will surface to sing you a daytime lullaby.
And they are fearsome. I don’t think you want to experience that just yet. They ‘ve only been allowed as far west as Albuquerque once. The only way to avoid them is to sleep.
although I am now certain that goldfishies will inhabit my dreams when they come š
Happy gardening Kidspeak!
Morning, Andif.
And . . .Manny, did you spend the night on the porch? If we did that, there’d be no flesh left by the mosquitos!
We’d still be okay here — the mosquitos aren’t out in any great numbers yet. Maybe it’s all the spring peepers.
the only upside to the lack of rain around these parts is the deficiency in the mosquito/vulture population.
I just harvested some catnip for the Gang of Four, and got bitten by the cursed little flying bloodsuckers as my reward.
Manny, you lack of sleep is making me tired. I’m going to take a short nap before gearing up for gardening – I can’t bear to put on bug spray or full-body anti-bug wear quite this early in the day.
Bye, hope everyone has a good morning.
P.S. Manny, if you stay out on that porch much longer, those vultures will come back, believe me!
Good morning to all. Back up the GSP to home today. I hope that the traffic is not of the usual legion variety.
Morning boran2. May all your traffic always be going in the opposite direction.
Thanks, hopefuly the traffic gods will hear.
Hey I’m hoping the traffic gods will hear also.
I’ve just about got the teleporter thing figured out. Soon it will be easier.
Good morning Andi, Manny, Kidspeak and boran2.
I took a benedryl, gonna let it kick in and pass out now, cya all around later.
Good you need some sleep.
Don’t worry I’ll watch Bud while you’re asleep. Come on Bud, we need to let Manny sleep, and it’s a long way to my house.
That’s nice of you to watch Bud. You don’t think George, Cat, and Tom will be jealous?
Are you kidding. If I can get Bud, then George, Tom and Cat would of course want to stay with Manny.
I don’t know though. I like Manny to much to try and put them off on him.
Morning folks!!!! I have been up doing laundry and dishes. I am trying to get some of the housework done so I can rtelax and actually enjoy myself at the ice-cream social this afternoon. I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far.
Morning Refinish.
The word relax and you just don’t seem to mesh in my mind. š
Morning FamilyMan!!!! LOL My relaxation is totally different than anyone’s I know. I go on vacation and still get up at 4:30 in the am so I can see the sun rise and get things done.
Although I’m not that much older, oh to be young again, or to have that much energy again.
I’m beginning to believe instead of being a force of nature, you’re from another dimension or another plane of existence.
It ain’t right, you hear, it just ain’t right to be this chipper and have this much energy this early in the morning.
ROTFLMAO!!!! I am always scared I will miss something. Life is so interesting and unusual and I believe it is meant to be enjoyed and used as a way to learn new things. I guess I knew too many people in my life that were stagnant and I am afraid of being that way myself. I find wonder in everything and love it.
You have an attitude I wish all people had.
Thank you!!! I learned from my Hero…. my Mom.
A very wise woman.
Yes she is. At 71, she still reads anything she can get her hands on and does gardening and curves to keep active. She just retired at the age of 70. LOL
My Mom retired 8 years ago at 72. She said wanted to keep working, but they were cutting back at where she worked, so she went ahead.
like your mon is a great person also. Mine retired when the place she worked for since I was 5 closed. LOL
<taps foot> I think we’re still waiting for pictures of the diva dogs. I know they didn’t sleep the whole day.
Morning Andi!!! I guess I will unpack thecamera from the laptop bag and do some photos to make the froggies happy. LOL
Bette Looking wise beyond her years. LOL
Reba playing with her favorite toy.
Bette yawning as decides what toy to steal from Reba next.
The Diva’s look wondeful.
Thanks!!!!
They clearly deserve way more ‘air time’ here in the cafe and in Thursday Dog Blogging.
Thank you.. I will try to start getting more pictures of them. I am sure I will get plenty once I get moved over to Austin.
I am so glad I’m not the only one who gets up and does laundry first thing on Sunday morning…
LOL I do laundry every Sunday or try to. Otherwise, I have to do it at midnight on Mondays and that sucks. LOL
What’s doing laundry? I thought people went out and bought new clothes when the old ones got dirty.
LOL I had a friend years ago who did that except once a month he would send everything to the cleaners.
Well I’ve never been one for doing this, but my oldest sister always washed and ironed everything.
Not the washing and ironing. I do that, but she would even iron her sheets and pillow cases.
An ex of mine had a roommate who used to iron her underwear. Now, that’s wrong on a lot of levels, but not the least of which because she wore these big cotton granny-panties. But they were perfectly pressed granny-panties.
with the most perverted thing I’ve ever heard.
Remember what you’ve always been told. Always have clean underwear in case you are ever in an accident and go to the emergency room. Just thing how much more impressed the doctors and nurses would be if they are also pressed.
Glad to be of service, especially regarding perverted awakenings.
Indy I havent even said morning to you yet.
Good Morning Indy.
Preverted awakenings? Are there any other kind?
Top of the morn to ya, Family Man.
How’re ya feeling today? Have you been getting enough rest?
Well, I packed and moved for 8 weeks straight, and I’ve only been resting for one day, so I’m gonna have to say, no not enough rest yet. š But it sure is nice to have my own bed again. At least I’m sleeping well while I’m avoiding thinking about the entire dining room stacked with boxes, from floor to ceiling.
Well then get your rest first. Everything will take care of itself.
I’m sending some really heavy slacking thoughts to you today. š
Oooh, lessons from The Master. Grasshopper is grateful. š
I get to start doing that soon and am not looking foward to it except getting out of Redneck and into austin.
I had some friends lived in Austin for a while and they loved it there. Yeah, the moving is a lot of work but I’m sure it’ll be a big relief for you after living in…other parts of Texas.
Well maybe if we can work up a good story line for ironing underwear fetishes it might be a lot more enjoyable.
Granny panties!!!!! LOL and iorned and starched no less. what a scary dang thought.
That is nuts LOL
Not only do I do laundry Sunday morning, I sort it Saturday night right before I go to bed.
Hey, I did that too!
Well, looks like I sort of won the battle with CBtE over who was going to mow the lawn this morning. Too bad it’s looking like I’ll have to have a second discussion with about actually cutting all of the grass, not just the parts he feels like cutting…oy.
Can someone please remind me that he will grow out of this attitude someday? š
He’s grow out of it some day. How long before he reaches 60.
Can you buy vodka by the case? š
Thanks, Indy and FM. I feel so much better now, I think I’ll just go slit my wrists and drink lysol. š
but then who would cut the grass? LOL
That would be funny if it weren’t so close to the truth… š
Glad to be of help. š
Aww, hon. It’ll get better and someday he’ll be a fine young man who will look after his beloved Cabin Mom. This too shall pass, this too shall pass…
You know, the worst part is that he now has the weed whacker out and is getting ready to finish the job properly…why did we have to have the whole drama about doing it in the first place? Why not just suck it up and get it over with?
Oh well.
Because he wanted to get a rise out of Mom, push the limit a little bit.
But then how would he age you prematurely?
Seriously, do you think it’s just another round of boundary exploration, like the toddler stage? That he has to learn that his relationships won’t be pleasant unless work is shared and responsibility is spread around, and things like that?
I suppose, but the battles with a toddler are so much more short-lived…I guess that’s why I’ve had almost 14 years to work up to the current state of affairs!
It’s interesting how some people (not naming names here) are more predisposed to pitch in than others…maybe it’s a function of birth order?
Nah, it’s a question of age probably. Their job as teenagers is to slowly start to break away from Mom even when they might need her the most. In my experience (admittedly a small test sample) causing conflicts is one way to make the eventual parting easier.
He wil grow out of it about the time you quit caring one way or another. LOL
Morning everyone.
After my itching and swelling stopped I noticed something that looks like it might be a bite – and I hate to say this Family Man – a snake bite because it’s two little punctures and a bruise on my forearm. I was weeding the yard yesterday and turning over the compost pile but I swear I never felt a thing. And I don’t know why the reaction would be so delayed and on just my two hands when I was bitten on one arm. Weird. But I’m better now.
Could be a spider bite of some sort. I had one once with distinct bite marks that turned by arm into a piano leg.
Glad you’re better.
Morning.
I was going for drama, but I forgot to add that it was probably a spider bite which is not much of a comfort. Because if the spider was big enough to leave a bruise I don’t even want to think about it crawling on me without me being aware of it.
Eek.
Are you sure it’s better? Itching might be gone, but are you feeling OK otherwise.
And you had to mention the S word didn’t ya. š
There are a couple of S words that would be fitting. š
You aren’t going to get into Yiddish again are ya. š
Just goofin’.
Have a good day everyone.
What? A hit and run?
I’m impressed with how well you’re handling it. Me, I’d be googling like a madwoman, paranoid I’d been poisoned.
well, I am glad the swelling and itching has stopped. Just look out for red lines running away from the sore. LOL
Morning everyone, I am up, and will post a new cafe diary shortly.
Well George is whinning to go out and I’ve got to get the living room straighten up.
The Nephew and his new wife are coming over. Mom decided last night the living room wasn’t clean enought. I said, “What, she isn’t part of the family now”. She gave me that Mom look and of course I said OK.
I’ll be back later.
Everyone have a good day in the pond.
