   It’s the headline article on MSNBC right now.

   BAGHDAD, Iraq – Iraq’s prime minister said on Tuesday his patience was wearing thin with excuses from U.S. troops that they kill civilians by “mistake” and said he would launch an investigation into killings in the town of Haditha last year.

   “There is a limit to the acceptable excuses. Yes, a mistake may happen, but there is an acceptable limit to mistakes,” Nuri al-Maliki told Reuters when asked about a U.S. investigation into the deaths of 24 Iraqi men, women and children in the western town last November.

     back in my roleplaying days: “I might have believed it was a mistake if you hadn’t stopped twice to reload and once to chug a beer.”

     I’m no expert, but it doesn’t seem possible to me to shoot handcuffed women in the head by mistake.

   OK, I may have been the last person on Earth to have heard this, but if not, here goes:

   Donald Rumsfeld briefed the President this morning. He told Bush that three Brazilian soldiers were killed in Iraq during the night.

   To everyone’s amazement all of the color drained from Bush’s face, then he collapsed onto his desk, his head in his hands, visibly shaken, almost whimpering. Finally, he composed himself and asked Rumsfeld, “Exactly how many is a brazillion?”
