May the 4’s be with you
Have a cuppa.
Good Morning Andi.
Good to see you!
Morning KB. How are you this am.
I’m fine. Struggling over my morning E4T stories. But otherwise fine.
How are you doing today?
I’m OK. Just trying to wake up.
I’ve got faith. You’ll get your stories done.
How are you feeling this morning?
I’m OK. Just waiting to see how the day is going to turn out.
The picture for the cafe is beautiful.
I hope it turns out to be ::no mowing:: a perfectly ::no mowing: slackerly ::no mowing:: day.
(thanks)
Ya never know how the day will turn out, so I’ll take it as it comes. π
How’s things?
I’ve been out for a walk in the woods where the morning dew is at flood stage.
That sounds so fun. Are your pants wet up to your knees?
Are you spying on me? π
Yep. I finally perfected the Andi spy-cam!
And the best thing is that it’s the perfect sleep aid.
(giggle)
Call it Sencha Peach Pancake, and it’ll be the perfect breakfast tea. It’s a green blend with caramel, almond brittle, and about six dozen other yummy bits.
P.S. You’re welcome on posing the question to Pat Hodgell, though it was really no effort. Her retirement is about three weeks old now, and she’s really enjoying it and the chance to do more writing.
George is whining to go out, and I’ve got to get the day started.
All you froggies have a good day in the pond.
ITAM? HIAE? Two simple questions will change your life.
Just in time to run off to work.
Andi, change those wet jeans before you catch a cold!
Nice post. Have a good day.
(and you might as well put them in the washer while you’re at it. No point in letting them get all moldy)
(lurking loudly)
My pants are made of a synthetic material that dries very quickly (I just knew you wanted to know that).
Good questions. My doctor has me trying a new hormone (Symlin) that’s supposed to suppress my appetite and make me nauseous if I try to overeat. So far I think it’s working pretty good, and my blood sugar is down from where it was, but it needs to go down even further.
I worked on some Symlin stuff back in the late 90s. How long have you been on it?
It’s still really hard to make sure I take the stuff 20 minutes before I eat. I’m thinking I may have to get me a backpack to carry around all my diabetic gear, plus the junk that clogs up my pockets on a regular basis (like my Palm Pilot and the battery I bought for it that’s twice as big as it is).
Good morning, FM, Andi, KB.
I just have to share this with everybody…we have someone new at the office named Bo Choi. I can’t stop giggling at the name (I keep thinking of the Bok Choy in my fridge), so I guess it’s really good I work from home…
How is everyone today? I have a low-level migraine that’s starting to go away.
I second that greeting, CG! And howdy to all of you, Andi, FM, KB, Boran and whoever else may have wandered in.
Looks to be sunny and low 80’s here today, and again no rain as was promised, so I’ll be out watering tonight when I get home from work. Gotta keep those newly planted seeds happy…
Hope everyone has a great day… sorry to have missed you FM, hope you’re feeling a bit better today! Oh, and I loved the post at your place about the toy car! It was great.
See you froggies later…
Once those name replacements get worked in your head, they are insidious. Way, way back in the day when my mother was dating, she went out for a short time (for reasons that are about to be obvious) with a guy named Millard who had a very clipped way of speaking. Calling him Mallard was irresistible and once I started doing it, my sisters did as well, and then my mother did too and shortly thereafter, no more Millard.
Did your mom actually call him Mallard? I know someone who has to keep himself from calling someone else “Mutton Chops”…
We were all ‘graciously’ doing it when he wasn’t around but it was easy for us kids since we weren’t going out with him. She said she never slipped up but she stopped herself just in time a couple of times. The real problem was that every time she looked at him, she saw a duck — not so good for romance. π
Hit and run. Hello IVG, boran, CG, and Kelly.
I think I got everybody that I didn’t this morning. Sort of a Walton’s goodnight in reverse.
I got the lawn mowed and it’s too hot to do anything else outside. Tomorrow, the weed eating. I look at what I used to do getting everything done outside, took two hours. Now I spread it out over a week. Slackers code book. π
I hope everyone is fine and I’ll drop by later.
Another nice AM in the Foothills
61° heading for mid 70’s w/ 40% chance of late T-strms…pretty typical cycle.
Have a good day
Later
Peace
It’s off to work I go. Hi ho, hi ho, hi ho, hi ho, hi ho…. hi ho!
Wish me luck!
Best of luck, MM!
how’s things?
well, not so good, actually. I still have a cold hanging on and a paperwork deadline today, so I’ll probably be a rather neglectful host.
As you can see, things are very quiet around here. You could just let this cafe ride till some time around the east coast happy hour.
Thanks, Andi. I also meant to say thanks for the beautiful photo today — my head felt better just looking at it.
Hey there Izzy, sorry too, to hear that cold is still hanging on. Hope you get to feeling better real soon, so you can launch another of those rocking cafes you do so well…
take care and hope you make progress on deadline and cold today!
Sorry to here that you’re feeling under the weather there Izzy. Like Andi said, it doesn’t look too busy today. And if you need to take a break, just pop a comment up and someone around can keep an eye out for ya … {{{Izzy}}}

Cyber-hugs aren’t contagious, right?
though I double you’ll need it. You’ll have ’em purring in no time.
Sending positive vibes your way!
Best of luck on the first day, MM! I’m sure you’ll make a good impression at the new place. Hoping it goes well for you, and see you later in the FBL or somewhere around here.
I can tell it’s getting toward summer in Seattle . . . the rain is warmer today. How is everyone?
Hey all, the happy hour is open!
