It’s pouring here so at least the froggies are happy. The dogs and I are moping because we can’t take our morning walk.
Sorry about the rainout of your morning walk. I am sure sniff and the others would go anyway but the clean up afterwards would be hell. LOL

Well, I guess all the froggies had too many cocktails last night at Happy Hour. LOL I took today off to attend Tommy White’s funeral. I have done a new podcast this am.

We got our rain last night, and now it’s just muggy and disgusting here.
I can’t believe it’s less than a week ’til Vegas…
It’s better than yesterday. At least I wasn’t drenched in sweat by the time I got on the bus for work. Nothing like a bus full of of sweaty people in foul moods moods to kick off the morning.
Hmmm, sweaty bus ride. Sounds just, um, lovely. At least it’s Friday!
If the bus driver is kind enough to crank up the air, it’s not so bad – the stench dies down pretty quick. The drivers on my route all seem to posses hearts of evil that make them turn the air off and open the back door at every stop for no reason , other than to let in additional humidity, heat and fumes.
We had huge t-storms last night but fortunately b2 boy wasn’t scared.
We had T-storms here too. Now it looks like the sun is attempting to make an appearance…sauna time. 🙂
Send some of your rain our way will ya, CG? Not a drop here since early Tues morning and that wasn’t much. Looks like I’ll be out watering new stuff every night till at least mid next week according to the forecast I just read.
Did notice last night that a lot of the seeds we planted on Monday are already poking through… that’s always exciting to see! Especially figuring out if it’s something we really planted or just a weed, lol.
Sorry things are so dry by you! What did you plant? (I can never stay up late enough to check out what you and olivia and dada and NDD are up to…)
We’ve had a nice amount of rain this year…everything is growing so well our co-op/CSA farm opened a week early, and I just got an eamil from them telling me I can come back and pick more strawberries tomorrow because there are so many this year.
We put in the veggies (tomatoes & peppers) on Monday, then ringed the whole area with zinnia seeds, with basil and broccoli raab in certain areas, and some annual vines.
I posted a pic of the area in last night’s cafe if you want to see. Mostly it’s annual stuff I planted that I have to obsess about so they keep moist. We were really looking forward to the promised T-storms on Mon night (80% chance that didn’t happen) and were really disappointed after hard labor that day. 🙂
I had a real Jean de Florette moment last night here in DC. Great blobs of red & yellow on the radar were approaching from the west, then just before they hit the District line they split north & south. Had a couple great flashes of lightning, but scarcely a drop. The metaphysical & moral ramifications of that, I’ll leave to someone else to draw out.
Mornin’ all! Gotta run in a little bit, but am looking forward to some more happy hour(s) this afternoon.

Well anyway, wanted to say hello and let you know that the CA Poppies at our house just started blooming the other day… yay, now we’ve got them for all summer long!

I don’t dare visit Booman or any extracurricular internet activity at my new job, since I fear they watch everything we do…. kinda scary, but there it is. Maybe I’m just being paranoid, but better err on the side of caution until I get well-established.
