The breakfast cart is gone, almost. Come out of those cubicles and relax in a hammock.
For all the West coasters we have a nice brunch ready and plenty of coffee.
Do you think they’d notice if I strung up a hammock in my cube? I could position it so that I could see out the window for a view of the river and trees and fluffy white clouds. 🙂

Hey there Olivia and FM!! Can’t stay long –working on another report now, blecchhh– but wanted to say hi at least.
Spotty rain is in the area, but I doubt anything decent will come of it, but I can keep hoping! Glad you two liked the most recent post on the b-thingie. We’ll see if another one appears later tonight … though I keep vowing to get to bed earlier. Dilemmas!

Today my Pink sister was on the air with Medea and we have some busy things going on in Portland for Friday and Saturday. Also gearing up for a hunger strike while most will be eating hot dogs and tearing their fingers off with fireworks. Americans gorging to celebrate the INSURGENCY that led to our freedom from an overseas tyranny…. ahem 😀
Tonight Wesley graduates from middle school. Danni is struggling with saying good bye to her new friends she recently made when moving to a school.

Thanks IVG, yeah I’ve really just beginning to learn about taking care of me part. Last weekends thing taught me that this is a huge turning point. We are now “the bad guys” so we must take precautions… but we must not stop or be … duct taped. 🙂

I got something that’ll get yer day started.
3 oz. vodka
1 1/2 oz. clear crème de cacao
1/2 teaspoon Cointreau
2 Hershey’s Kisses
Combine vodka, crème de cacao and Cointreau in a mixing glass with ice. Shake or stir. Strain into chilled martini glasses. Garnish with an unwrapped Hershey’s Kiss.
I’m all set now. Better get back at it. See ya!
in Campbell, one of the places the spouse and I watched the Sharks in the playoffs, has a dessert on the menu called “Chocolate Hockey Puck” — it’s round and puck-sized, and I think it’s some sort of chocolate cake with raspberry filling, then iced all over with chocolate. Decided it was too rich for us that night — will have to try it next season. 😉

We’ve been consistently 10 – 20 º over normal for the last six weeks with virtually no rain of any consequence. Could be a loooong summer if this doesn’t break soon.
I’ll switch summers with ya dada. 🙂
I couldn’t handle the humidity and the bugs…bet ya wouldn’t like the winters tho…my optimal operating temp peaks at about 80 -85º…:{)
After 85 F I go into nap mode. It’s going to be a long summer.

We had light rain pretty much all day Th&F, almost seemed like an April rain as there were no T storms. Got .55 out of that which was needed. The grass on the lawn was almost all white, and gone into dormancy like it does in mid Aug. Not shaping up to be a normal year here either.

prairie grass Tues forenoon. I heard this squawk, and was wondering why she was trying to communicate through the walls of the house. Well, back in she comes, all discombobyoulated, since she’d seen a snake, slithering the grass ahread of her, put on the brakes so fast her tennis shoes slipped and she fell on her butt, nothing harmed thankfully.
So I’ll have you know I was thinking of you that day, ha!

Yeah but my wishes are all ways small one. I go outside and see a red bird, I wish I would take a nap. I come inside and clean the kitchen, I wish I could take a nap. I take George out and while he’s, ahem, pinching a loaf, I wish I could take a nap.

I’ve wondered before, since you work from home, do you set a certain quitting time. I’m afraid with my lazy nature I would be quitting at lunch time.
Who am I kidding. First thing in the morning I would look at the computer and say that’s enough. 🙂
I pretty much stop around 5 so long as I’m not involved in some crisis or trying to make a deadline.
I’m seeing work ethics abounding here. 🙂
My headache of the last two days has suddenly amped up to a migraine. Wish I could sleep through it but it hurts more when I lay down, otherwise I’d give it the Family Man routine.

I have the same problem with not being able to lie down with one. The only thing I can do is take the medicine and walk or sit in a chair and rock back and forth.

Woke up with a slight case of tummy trouble and major case of fatigue, so I stayed in the secure vacation bunker to rest up for the cruise portion of the vacation. 🙂 Sent spouse out to do assorted errands. I’m also doing a couple of loads of laundry; he’ll do the other two this evening, then we’ll get packed up and ready for tomorrow. After tomorrow I’ll most likely be off-line for the next week, till we return to the secure vacation bunker for a couple of days…so don’t worry, I’ll be fine. 🙂
I’m enjoying the relative peace and quiet…I definitely was in need of some alone time. Yeah, I love the guy and all that, but the 24/7 togetherness routine gets pretty wearing after a while.
Pretty slow day looks like…had to scroll pretty far down the list to find the Cafe.
Okay, need to hop downstairs and get my laundry out of the dryer…machines are in demand today…
I’ve got to go and run an errand. I’ll be back in a minute to open up a new cafe.
