Good thing these digital wondertoys ain’t real “cameras” then, isn’t it? Otherwise we couldn’t use them.
I will, however, leave the Kiev at the desk.
Just barely…. Last night I was up all night for yet another night since five minutes after I fell asleep I would wake up strangling and choking for air, it was really scary. So I was awake all night and then this afternoon the same thing happened when I tried to take a nap. Finally I tried some Nyquil, and at least it helped me get some sleep so I feel a little less like a zombie! Yikes!
I did some research on the internets and discovered that sometimes with an upper respiratory infection your vocal cords can go haywire and instead of opening up when you try to breathe in, they contract, which is I think what is happening with me. They give you some breathing exercises to try, which have really helped when I start to have an attack. Plus I’ve been pumping in the lycine and vitamin C to try to clear up the infection in my lungs.
Yikes! And this from someone who practically never gets sick.
Anyhoo…. here are some pooties for you.

Yes I do feel like I’m getting a little better since there’s less of the “tickle” that precipitates the strangling and choking fits. Whether I can get some good sleep tonight will be the key, I think.
experience I had with something like this that I got in N CA some years back. I hardly ever get sick either, and I had this shit for close to 9 mos before I got rid of it.
If I get into the story it’d be way way too long for this FBC.
If you’re so inclined, send me an email and tell me as much about this as you are comfortable with, and I will relay back what I can recall of my experience and you can chose whether it may apply to you or not.
Someone helped me with a suggested remedy a couple of weeks before I got rid of it. I didn’t think I’d ever get rid of it, since I’d never had anything last that long before.
Anyone else out there with sinus/chest congestion that seems out of the ordinary is welcome to email me.

I had thyroid surgery some years ago and my vocal cords were damaged, so that might have something to do with it.
Get crackin on that hon, it sounds beyond the pale of the usual UR bugs. Not to play alarmist, but seriously. Anyway, you get the idea without preaching, lol.

Babe, we got em in spades already, and I keep planting more seed in different places. I noticed today one spot where they are coming up through the grass. Now, that’s a tenacious annual. We have others, but these get left alone!

it was fairly bright out even though the sun was behind a thin overcast.
To be absolutely sure I’d have to look at the data on that photo, as the setting kept defaulting to flash, and I’d have to keep turning it off.
Maybe I’ll go do that, ya got me curious now.

And now that I look at it the yellow is quite bright relative to the earth which is much darker on that one than some other’s taken around the same time.
b/c the little bits are popping in the LG view. And you taught me that NDD — to get the fine details, use the flash. Do you see what I mean…the little bright yellow beads?

Nope, we didn’t make it to the movie tonight. Worked 7 hrs out on weed and plant duty today so we were wiped out and ended up ordering pizza, lol. We vow to see it either tomorrow night or some night next week, though.
A lot got done, and a lot more remains to be done. But I worked the hell out of two beds today. Completely revamped an overgrown one by the steps with lavender, bee balm, red yarrow, silver mound and hardy primroses. It’s now my “gotta baby” bed, lol.

Yes, I saw the dreaded roses. Reason it took me so long to get over here … read through the entire thread, lol. I’m pooped, but took a long hot shower and ache less now, whew. We were going to take pics today, but C worked hard on the North side, while I redid that bed by the steps and tended the one in the back.
I know I’ll ache in the morning but I’m contented now, and there is a slight chance that a reddish yellow blob on the radar may yet give us some rain tonight!

I always roll myself out of bed literally, because if I did it figuratively, I’d never get to work!
The Blue Butterflies are really great plants. If you own no other Delphinium, you should have this one. IMHO, they’re the easiest of all to grow, and all the ones I have I started from seeds. If you get a plant, give it some love and it’ll do the same. This will be a b-entry soon, as I am still mulling the whole consolida issue over in my head.
But for blue… they’re beyond compare and photos in ambient light don’t get it… the flash is closer, but that was an experiment.

Not much happening. Kinda quiet here in BTland. Edmonton won, so they’re going back to NC for game 7.

I went out today … went hiking a bit at place near where I live — took some pix of wild flowers (that’s what I’m working on now, getting a b post up).

Ha ha … it was really hot today … sticky, humid, hot. I acquired a number of freckles as I didn’t use any sunscreen (I’ve been bad about it this summer).
Um … I haven’t loaded it on my computer yet! I was supposed to get it done last w/e and that didn’t happen. So I said this w/e and so far I haven’t done it.
I really want to get that print sent to you. Tomorrow. Maybe you should start nagging me about it … you know, kinda like I do you re the smoking. 🙂

They are supposed to be here Monday, but then, if they say Monday, it might be next week. A long time ago, I decided that if they said they were coming, I wouldn’t believe it until they showed up. I guess it adds a little excitement to their arrivals.
