Dogs have an excellent sense of smell, so I’ll bet he could tell not only what brand of vodka went into a drink, but the year, the vat it was produced in and the name of the farmer who sold the distillery the grain it was made from.

It’s been going well. Enjoying my day off, blogging, you know…the usual.

Heck no. I’m really beginning to believe this stuff is in the genes. He knows parts of lazy I haven’t even thought about yet.
Then again, he’s only 13 and this is his vacation.

Nope can’t just tell him. Plus he’s bigger than I am already.
Fireworks later on tonight. He’s leaving tomorrow and it’s all got to be done tonight.
But before I do that, I’ve got to go out and grill hot dogs and hamburgers. I’m really wanting to do some slacking though.

Only problem was the American male tourists rear ending each other (in their automobiles, you idiots) while driving round and round the square.

ya got the best of all worlds there, skies, trees, and water.
the town (Evansville) the only thing I missed was the river — I could spend hours sitting on the banks watching its whole world unfold.
seems like it’s been years since I’ve been on top of either one. And we got two canoes, so go figure. I guess RL’s been taking top priority recently.

Day was grrrrrrrrreat. Went for a hike on another boardwalk … it was hot though. Getting that ‘have to work tomorrow’ feeling though … ugh.

Hi everyone, I’m finally home and relaxing. I ended up having to work today. As I told a co-worker who sent me a text message yesterday asking if we had to work: “Yes, those f**kers” I really hate having my chain yanked. First they told us we would have a 4-day weekend, then it was a ‘no’, then it was a maybe, and it ended up a half-day after a phone call from my boss on Saturday afternoon. I ended up just working a full eight to get crap done.

I’m not feeling very festive this year, go figure. At least I won’t have to spend any of the time in the dungeon at work.
Being able to stay home from work is the best part of the holiday for me.
