As we end this day at rest in our safe beds, may all the forces of goodness be with those threatened by war who are afraid to close their eyes this night.
Be with the children and the mothers who shelter them with thier own bodies. Be with all the innocents paying the true cost of war.
Strenghen them, give them what they need to survive, and bring comfort to the injured, the dying and all who grieve.
Please protect all who risk thier lives to protect innocents everywhere. Guide them well, and keep them safe from harm.
Lend all of us the strength, wisdom and courage to know, and then to do, whatever is needed to stop those who choose to inflict horrendous destruction, suffering and death in the name of any god of vengence or greed.
If ever we needed all the help we can get, it’s now.
