Fortunately, Pyreneans’ hair it very resistant to dirt. If she dried out, all she’d have to do is give herself a good shake and it would all come off (people never believe me when I say this, especially when the dog is this filthy, but it’s true). Toweling works pretty well to do the same thing. Hosing her down just gets a wetter dog.
Although, there’s a carwash in Hobart that has one of those dog wash stations (they’re great for people with big dogs and bad backs – and no there’s having to clean up the bathroom afterward!). Since we’ll be in town later today I might just subject her to a bath. Especially since Imogen is coming home tomorrow and she really doesn’t like it when Luna gets smelly.
For those of you who missed my comments in the cafe, Albert had to have lots of teeth pulled on Monday due to a life-threatening jaw abcess. It’s the same condition we lost Oscar to about a two years ago.
“Hello BooTribbers.”
He’s gradually getting back to his old self – running about the place and looking for ways to get into trouble. He’s on several medications, and his food has to be finely chopped, but other than that he seems happy enough to be home.
Ah, he is “Mr. Relaxation” when supine, but once he gets to his feet he’s “Mr. Crankypants.”
Right now, he’s stretched out on the floor next to the wood stove, feet behind and to the side (his bum partially in the food he scattered on the floor), and relaxed as relaxed can be. Maybe because supine is his “natural” state, having to be in any other position is what makes him so cranky.
Jesus! Luna has that “naughty girl” look in her eyes :))
I am lucky because Mafi does not dig holes, lol. But he likes to rub himself against shrubs and pine trees and his fur is quite green sometimes. But I agree with you, a good brushing is enough and all the dirt disappears.
I can’t see one, so I thought I’d ask, has she got a tail? Manx cats are caused by a form of Spina Bifida, and in it’s more extreme form it can cause cats to have weird angulation in their hind legs.
The most imfamous case being the “Cabbit.” So called because these cats rest on their hocks like rabbits. For more info on Cabbits, go here.
I never heard of a cabbit before. But speaking of rabbits, my corner bar has a Jacalope head mounted on the wall with Chrismas balls hanging from its antlers.
They are Bette and reba. Reba is the larger of the two but is the baby. LOL They both love plastic bottles and they seem to survive longer than plastic dog toys. LOL
Only after a hosing down, otherwise she could stay/sleep outside. I love dogs, but not that much!;-)

This is Luna a few minutes ago – in one of her many holes.
She really does self-clean amazingly well.

in front of BT but adorable Albert looks so sad, it makes me want to cry.
Luna on the other hand made me laugh (and think of the times the dogs of have come back with dirt packed up their nostrils and in their ears)
But that’s the way Albert always looks – it’s why we call him “Mr. Crankypants.”
From the pictures you’ve posted, I’ve always thought of him as being relaxed beyond bliss.

How are you feeling tonight tooth-wise?
The tooth is not really noticeable if I can keep my tongue away from it.
I’ll get an appointment to have it fixed sometime next week.
Albert must be feeling better, he’s complaining bout the service (i.e. digging at his bowl – which is his way of demanding more food).
Oscar, at first, didn’t know what to make of Albert. But once he accepted his bunny room-mate (Oscar was raised an only-rabbit) it was love.

This is one of my sister’s weird little kittens, Elaine, who like to sit like this for some reason known only to her.
Yep, that’s different.

Jackalope, I mean. I’ll learn to spell one day.
Aren’t they related to the snipe in someway?
The bird?
These are my babies who rule the roost. I keep promising to post these to the dog blog and I like to keep my promises.
Ah, the empty soda bottle. It’s a favorite at our house as well.
What are their names?
They are Bette and reba. Reba is the larger of the two but is the baby. LOL They both love plastic bottles and they seem to survive longer than plastic dog toys. LOL
As one who has subtly <nagged> you about posting photos of the Divas … LOL
They are adorable furry loves!
LOL You are welcome!!!
