Morning!!!! I guess the site was having problems for a while. I have the 4th batch of brownies for today in the oven. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
Well, you have to taste to make sure they are okay. I r4efuse to take inferior food out in public. I have been known to try a new recipe and throw the entire thing in the garbage before serving it to others. LOL
I’m waiting for my new mattress to be delivered…and helping the guys pack for their week away at sailing camp! Woo-hoo! A vacation from parenting for CG!
You know now that you bought up making brownies you have to make up about, oh 4000 care packages to send out. Can’t have the trib community wanting for Refinish’s Famous Brownies. 🙂
I’m okay. Seems like I’ll be mostly free this Saturday, as it appears the Lamont campaign is catching a little R&R as well before this final push comes up.
Good morning from the left coast late shift! Hope everyone’s located their caffeine, socks, brains, etc.
Yum! Brownies for breakfast! I’ll be making a cobbler for a party a bit later if I can find enough blackberries. The Himalayan blackberry is a giant invasive problem plant here…except in August when everyone’s memory gets totally fogged by the taste of plentiful sweet black juicy fruit. Actually saw one of the plants in its native state near Mt. Everest where it’s kept in check by the climate.
It’s cool enough here that I (of excessive body fat)put on a sweatshirt and my skinny housemate took off for the farmer’s market on his bike wearing several woolen shirts.
I’m pretty good. On the road again. I flew up to the Bay Area on Wednesday night to attend a grant planning meeting in Sacramento, and stayed the weekend. After what happened on Thursday, I’ve decided to drive back to Los Angeles! It’s only a six hour drive and will probably be shorter than what I would have to go through at the airport!
Man, oh man, I almost forgot the good old napping and slacking days! thanks for keeping it up on behalf of us paycheck-prisoners. But I am slacking to some degree by hanging out at Barnes and Noble, listening to my iPod, and writing whatever I feel like writing in a sort of long letter to myself. I’m actually in Walnut Creek now, staying with a friend. It is very pretty here. Ever been?
Nope never been to Walnut Creek. Whenever I went to Sacramento, it was either to the American River or to the night club area. That was during the party days.
I’m glad you’re getting a little slack time. Don’t worry, I’ll be here to remind you of slacking days gone by. :~)
Anyone need a cup of java?
Good morning everyone.
Morning Familyman!!!!
Morning!!!! I guess the site was having problems for a while. I have the 4th batch of brownies for today in the oven. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
Morning Refinish. The 4th batch. If you’re like I am, you’re tasting while cooking. 🙂
Well, you have to taste to make sure they are okay. I r4efuse to take inferior food out in public. I have been known to try a new recipe and throw the entire thing in the garbage before serving it to others. LOL
I’ve been known to cook something and toss it because I wouldn’t even eat it. 🙂
I’ll have one cuppa and one brain.
To go, please.
In the early morning fog I see
visions of unreality.
I’m trying to get my mind to work
so my comments won’t make me seem a jerk.
Hi AT. I can spare the cup, but not the brain. I’m looking for one myself.
You can have half of mine; I’m not using it today anyway…
How are you this am, FM?
Sorry had someone at the front door.
Doing OK so far, but you never know.
How’re you doing today? Any big plans?
I’m waiting for my new mattress to be delivered…and helping the guys pack for their week away at sailing camp! Woo-hoo! A vacation from parenting for CG!
What are you doing today?
It’s looks like I’m Grand Central at the house today.
Sailing camp sounds exciting. A vacation from parenting sounds even more so. 🙂
LOL Morning cabin!!!
Hi Refi! Got any brownies for me? 🙂
Sure if you come to Texas for the open house today. LOL
Hmm…with the new and incredibly stupid restrictions on carry-on airline baggage, I think I won’t be able to make it down there today…
Who’s the open house for?
LOL I understand what you mean.
You know now that you bought up making brownies you have to make up about, oh 4000 care packages to send out. Can’t have the trib community wanting for Refinish’s Famous Brownies. 🙂
LOL you stand a better cahnce of getting my actual recipe than a care package and I never give all the details of my recipes. lol
One of those cooks huh. 🙂
Yeppers. Mine have to be unique and I cannot have everyone making the same thing. They try but mine are always better. LOL
Hey FM.
I tried looking for my brain behind the couch cushions. I got $1.27 in change but – Alas – no spare neurons.
Hey AT. I’ll trade you my brain for the $1.27. I think I’ll come out the winner on that one.
Howdy At
Howdy-Hi back at you.
Hey folks! How goes it?
Morning Psi!!!
Morning Psi. How’re you doing?
I’m okay. Seems like I’ll be mostly free this Saturday, as it appears the Lamont campaign is catching a little R&R as well before this final push comes up.

We need to get you on the Food Channel with your own show. 🙂
NO!!!! I love cooking but would hate to do it professionaly again.
Just saw someone drive up and gotta go again.
Back in a minute.
Good morning from the left coast late shift! Hope everyone’s located their caffeine, socks, brains, etc.

Hi Soup.
Same as with Refinish. Send care packages. 🙂
Hi MM. Haven’t talked to you in awhile.
Its been slow around here lately. How have you been doing?
I’m pretty good. On the road again. I flew up to the Bay Area on Wednesday night to attend a grant planning meeting in Sacramento, and stayed the weekend. After what happened on Thursday, I’ve decided to drive back to Los Angeles! It’s only a six hour drive and will probably be shorter than what I would have to go through at the airport!
What’s going on in your neck of the woods? Hot?
I think the driving is a good idea. Take your time and plenty of pictures. I loved Sacramento when we used to go there.
It’s hot and humid down here, but that’s par for the course. I’m staying inside and slacking as much as possible.
MM gotta run. FMom needs me to run an errand.
Hope to see you later.
Okie dokie, FM. Thanks for the chat. I am about to lose my interent connection, since I only have a two-hour pass. See you around the pond.
Okay this cafe is dead.
It is a brunch cafe and it is now almost 8PM EDT.
No one will probably read this but here goes.
If you buy stuff online you might want to look at this site.
http://www.etsy.com
They sell hand made items by the artists. It is a cool looking site too.
Judging by the activity here, if we all go there at once I don’t think we’ll bring the site down.
Andi spent the day with Maryb in Effingham, IL planning the October meetuup in Chicago. I spent the day on my bike.
Hi Jim. Yep it’s pretty dead around here.
I’ll take a look at the site.
Think I’ll open a happy hour to see who might show up.
Froggy Bottom Happy Hour here
