Thanks to all who have expressed interest in exploring labor history as part of a BT Tribute to Labor Day: Working:Together
I’ve set up a tentative schedule based on your comments. There are some “unclaimed” stories left which I encourage someone to take on. Also, if there is another, unlisted, person or aspect of labor history you would like to write about, sign up below!
To those of you who have volunteered, let me know if this schedule works for you — we can always adjust things.

Thanks Kahli. It’s always a great honor to perform last. You’ve given me plenty of time to prepare. Hope I can restrain my ego from grabbing the last remaining topic just to hold my place.
Thanks again for all your work in putting this project together. There can’t be anything more important for us to talk about now.
No, no, thank YOU.
Hi Alice,
In a comment below, Omir asked to do Mother Jones on September 10. Would you be willing to go a day later and keep your “headliner” spot?
Absolutely – anything for a story from Omir.
I appreciate your giving me the time I need Kahli.
More American workers to be laid off.
Ford to close 10 plants
If you read the article you’ll notice that nowhere are the workers who will be profoundly effected by these closings mentioned in the article. That’s says all that one needs to know about the fall of unions and the workers who made those plants produce for Ford.
It’s a cool magazine.
One request, though: I don’t want to stomp on Alice’s toes, but would it be possible to schedule Mother Jones for 9/10? There’s a reason for it.
Dang, I wish I’d seen the Labor Art and Music category. I still think Mother Jones is a better story, though.
Thanks Omir.
Let’s negotiate with Alic over the date. ; )
That gives me plenty of time. I’ll start researching this during this weekend.
Looks good, thanks Kahli!
You guys all rock!
