What do you plan on doing this fall to help us get majorities in Congress? What advice do you have for others that may not be sure how to best use their time and resources?

OT: Booman, will I see you at DL tonight? And how would you suggest the best way to get down to Tangier’s from University City?
You’re going to DL tonight? Now I’m really bummed that I can’t go. 🙁
Have fun.
Never been to one…figured I may as well stop by and get acquainted with more folks in the Philly political scene.
And it’s a shame you can’t come…because I don’t think I can go to DL on a regular basis. :/
I was leaning towards not going tonight, but now that I hear you are going I am wavering on that decision.
As for how to get there? A cab is always nice in the rain. Or take the Market line to Suburban Station and walk over.
Actually, you can get closer by transferring to the Broad line and getting off at South/Lombard. It’s only four blocks from there.
Alrighty, thanks. Will check out SEPTA’s website to see the schedule.
Come on, a little rain won’t kill you!
I was thinking of taking the Green Line trolley to 19th Street and walking from there. That’s not too far a walk south, is it?
19th and what?
It’s at Market. However, I saw your post above. I’ll see if the waiting time transferring to the Broad Street line will be long.
Dude, you totally stepped out of the subway right in front of my office.
Wish I could’ve made it tonight. Clients. Grr.
Heh…you’re at Broad and Lombard, eh?
It was a good time. Got to chat a lot with Atrios and Booman. Someone spilled beer all over me just as I left, but it’s all good.
No, 19th and Market. You missed the DL a few months back when I brought my 3 year old daughter.
That must’ve been interesting. 🙂
Decide what you are comfortable with doing and then commit to doing that. If you are confortable with phone banking, then pick an evening and do phone bank work. If you are confortable cavassing, then pick Saturday or Sunday and go every week. Or find some other activity with a local campaign. The key is consistency. You have to give at least 3 hours every week or you can’t get your country back.
I’m doing some phone bank work from my home for Dem candidate Jim Marcinkowski tonight. I’m trying to put in a couple of hours a week. If you live in Michigan’s 8th district, you can learn more about Jim and how to help at http://www.vote-jim.com.
Can we please get a line added to the FAQ about the two-diary per day limit? I recently claimed that it was in the FAQ when reminding a new user of it. Much to my chagrin, I could not find it in the FAQ or any of the links in the FAQ to user guides.
This addition would help prevent confusion to a new user and prevent any misconceptions about the content of the third diary being the reason for invoking the rule. Thanks.
I think that’s a good idea, because I remember another time that the limit was an issue.
for a major revision, the site is definitely more than four months old. Plus, I think this is my favorite thing to harrass Señor Boo about [evil grin]
Jerry McNerney’s office and see if they need someone to table-sit in the South County.
And joining the in-laws in passing some green to assorted candidates as soon as the spouse is back at work and bringing in a regular paycheck again…
Since this is an open thread, I have to say that a month from today on 5 August, was the last time riverbend posted anything. Again I am very worried as to her safety. Since all the death and bloodshed in and around Baghdad and well, just all over.
BTW, can’t tell you which channel I had on, but I looked up and saw an ad from the united alliance of kurdistan (sp?). what is up with this? anyone got an idea?
I hope she’s OK. By the way, I don’t know right off where I saw it, but apparently someone is mounting a dramatic reading of posts from Riverbend’s blog. I think it’s being done in London, because the report was copied from the BBC and it made a point of mentioning that the cast included “five American girls.”
Gee, would I love to hear this. This murder and mayhem is giving me lots of pause to worry about her and her family. I have thought as I wished she and her family would just move out of Iraq for their own safety.
and posters. Is anyone else having a problem with the front page being too wide to read until one pulls up the comments? It is doing this on both home and work computer so I cannot imagine that it is on this end.
You’re the second person that’s asked that today, but I’m not having that problem.
Are you using the beta of IE 7? If so that’s the problem. I tried it a few months ago and had to ditch it because it made BooTrib unreadable.
ok…I confess I am completely techno illiterate folks. If I have IE 7(internet explorer?) how do I abandon it? Nothing has changed since I bought this computer over a year ago.
