I only got us lost once on the way back and it wasn’t too bad of a trip.
FMom is about the same. I planted her in the recliner last night and she keeps dozing on and off there. All I can say is thank god for pain medicine. Don’t know how she could stand it otherwise.
What is the orthopedist likely to do that the ER docs didn’t? Surgery?
It’s possible, but I don’t think so. I did the exact same thing to my should years ago and at first they were saying surgery and then they said no and it would just be PT.
I’m taking her to her Family Physician tomorrow and from there he’ll send her to an Orthopedist. So I’ll have to wait and see.
Are you home? (I want to know how FMom is too but I can read your answer to SN).
Yep we got in yesterday afternoon. The trip wasn’t too bad, but FMom and I could have done without some of the rough roads we hit.

I still am interested in getting some of teh ponders to do a podcast with me by using skype and making a conference call to all the computers or home nubers.
Hi Refinish and thanks. I was reading about what you wanted to do and it sound interesting. I’ve heard of Skype before, but really haven’t gone that much into it. Actually I think I joined it when I first got back on the internet, but never went back to it.
That’s one problem I’ve found about the internet. I’ll find a site I think is cool and join it and never go back. Got to stop doing that. 🙂
The idea is to do a round table type show where everyone can talk about all the issues and add in little personal things and stories. I think it would be great and of course I would add in music. LOL
It sounds good, but Refinish I see a hard road ahead for you getting everyone to join in. I don’t know if it’s because people don’t like to hear themselves or because of shyness, but I don’t think this will be an easy endeavour.
Just think of the people we keep telling they need to put up a blog or one un-named person (Olivia) who we keep after about a podcast. Won’t be easy.
You should go over to one of the open threads and make this announcement.
LOL I am interested in getting people from the pond that I sort of know. I am also going to see if I can get some people together from a couple of other blogs and do the same type show with them. I want it to be people that I have some knowledge of and not just anybody. LOL
I’ll play rah-rah for your from sidelines but I hate talking over the phone/not face-to-face so it’s not something I’d want to do.
Oh trust me If I could just get us all in one big room and record it, I would do it in a heart beat. I am on the phone 40 hours a week for work plus the phone banking. I hate talking on the phone at home but have done conference chats on the computer before and had a lot of fun.

I’m just stopping in to say high. I have a little bit of a break before heading out to do Accounting work. After that, I’ll grill a little, followed by locking myself a couple floors up on the rooftop lounge of my dorm and reading non-stop.
Just don’t let all that excitement overwhelm you. 🙂

Actually made it out of the apartment for church today! Went to the 8am service, then stayed for the forum (discussing what direction we’re going in…the standard topic for new rectors now that everyone’s home from vacations). Went out to brunch afterwards — spouse is going to take a nap while I watch some football, then I’ll catch one while he’s taking out the recyclables.
Great sermon today — our rector was working at a parish in NYC on 9/11/01, and was able to tie in his experiences into the sermon. I’ll probably do a diary on it over at Street Prophets once the sermon’s posted on the church web site.
Okay, just about time for the afternoon game…back in a while…
