Morning Miss Andi!!!!! I am so glad it is Friday I could scream!!! LOL While I have a very busy weekend ahead at least the drive to and from Austin will not be included. I guess I am heading to geezerdom as I get so I hate to drive more and more each day.
This is my early morning begging for donations also. I want to thank all of the ponders who have sponsored me so far for the AIDS WALK. You can click on either image and go to my donations page. This is so important to me because of all the people I have lost including my lover and also because the Bush Regime has cut funding so much in the last 6 years that even essential services are threatened.
There’s a very nice tradition you might want to do at one of your meetings — you take an apple, cut it into slices, and everyone dips the slices into honey so that they will have a full, sweet year.
(The new year holiday goes through sunset on Sunday)
Happy New Year Andi. And good morning. Your pic today is making me homesick. (I’m such a weenie). I miss my kitties and my horses. I really like Philly but I’m ready to go home.
I understand how you feel — just about the second I leave the woods and dogs I start missing them, no matter how much I might enjoy the place I’m going.
The Delaware river is just fascinating. We watched last night as 4 tugs pulled a huge ship upriver. This little beauty is docked right by the hotel. I think that’s the Walt Whitman bridge in the background.
Hubby had a seminar here at Penn’s Landing and I came along. We toured the old city, did a few museums and are going home later this morning. After years of visiting relatives, mostly on the mainline, this is my first trip into the city. It was great. I especially love the architecture. My brother just moved to
Broomall and Cabin Girl and I are going to hook up (hopefully) the next time we get down here.
Hope your all having a relatively good morning. Mine’s a little fragmented since mom stuff rquired me to do four hours of driving yesterday on about ten minutes notice and I’m still getting back to normal. Sigh.

I have done that before at the New Year. I once dated a very sweet Jewish boy and we celebrated most of the holidays.

I like going away because it makes home seem so much…homier. 🙂
Absolutely! I love going away, but after a day or so I start to daydream about home. I guess I’m just a country girl through and through.

Andi that is the most beautiful scene you have for us!
And Happy New Year!

Are you right in the city?
