In his usual thorough style, John Dean prepared a review of 36 scandals going back to Daniel Webster at his column at http://www.findlaw.com/. Of the 36 specific stories, 20 were Dems and 16 were Repubs. In the text of his post, Dean sifts the incidents by type of target, and pages were in a minority of victims, thankfully.
The column closes with compliments to Prof Jonathan Turley for his proposal for a new governance board for the page program to replace the one currently in place. His NYT Op-Ed is linked, in which he states that a sufficient number of former pages now live and work in Washington that an independent group can be formed to provide oversight and guidance as well as a sounding board for concerns the pages may have.
