Unbelievably gorgeous weekend in Chicago. We (me, jim, maryb, kidspeak, teach313, blueneck, poemless) had a great time.

LOL
I was just about to post a new cafe … and when I checked the list, there you were!
We missed having you come with us so much that when we went into the garden in Millennium Park, Mary insisted we take macro shots so we could pretend you were with us.
When do we get to see them? 🙂
I’m glad you had good weather and a great time.
probably tomorrow but it won’t have the macro shots because they weren’t that good — ’cause you weren’t there to take them. 😉
I bet they’re as good as the others you took at when you met your friends … 🙂
What other kinds of photos did you take and what about Jim?
Are you going to do up a little diary to talk about what you all did — so I should save all my questions, like what did you do lol, how was the picnic and most of all, how was everyone?
I mean like a description of what you did combined w/ photos … 🙂
I’ve got the pictures ready but I haven’t written anything yet but I don’t have to work tomorrow (I get columbus day off) so I’ll probably do it in the morning.
I’ll save you a piece of apple pie. 🙂
and pumpkin pie too … but I’m not making both this year.
Turkey, dressing, potatoes, turnip, rolls, cranberries, salad, pies, etc.
is pretty much the same north and south.
Are you going to your mother’s?
I think the one difference is for Christmas we have tourtière, but otherwise I think it’s pretty much the same.
No, not going home — we had a change of plans. We’re both sick so we were told to stay home so we didn’t infect the whole family … We’ve moved it to next w/e.
but I guess it’s good that you don’t have to go to work tomorrow.
Though sounds like you don’t feel so bad you can’t planning on stuffing yourselves. 🙂
Well, I was going to make it today but just wasn’t up to it so I changed plans … something you can do when it’s just you eating lol
Hello one and all. Kidspeak and I just got back from Chicago about an hour ago. The weather as nice as I’ve seen it in Chicago. I didn’t expect sunburn in October. We had a great time meeting everyone. Too much to do for Monday and too little time. Have fun in the cafe, I’ve gotto run.
Me too!
Mary! 😀 What’s up?
Hi Psi! I just got back from meeting more wonderful Bootribbers.
What’s this about you lacking sleep? Don’t make me worry about you 😉
You worry about me? I never thought I’d hear that. 😛
How was the meetup? Sounds like it was good fun for all involved. 🙂
It was great. BooTribbers are always so much fun live and in person. And I love Chicago. I wish you could have been there.
What did you do this weekend besides politics and studying?
Nothing, really. I just made burgers on my Foreman grill…does that count? 😛
It counts if you made burgers for people other than yourself. If not … no.
Why did you get no sleep?
Too much work. I have 4 midterms, 2 case studies, and one Japanese presentation due in these next 2 weeks.
Sounds busy — but don’t burn yourself out. Planned breaks (especially for sleep) are necessary 🙂
Hey all. Still awake despite only getting 3 tortured hours of sleep from 9 AM-noon today.
Maryb and I saw your comments this morning as we ate our breakfast at the Panera at State and Congress (just in case you can do echo-location) and were sorry at the thought of your staying up all night on a Saturday to study. 🙁
Hey Olivia! How’s it going?
I just got to be on a conference call with Wesley Clark. 😀
Look at you … LOL … and on so little sleep. 🙂
It was cool, I guess, to say the least. I just did a writeup on it above this Cafe on the Recent Diary list. 🙂
I’m on my way to check it out now.
We had a lovely moon-set this morning.
